Astronomy

Zach walked into the classroom, a bit late due to an unexpected chat with the Headmistress. He explained this to his teacher before seeing Siobhan. He smiled and walked over, sitting on the opposite side of her.
"Hello, love."
((Hey guys :) ))

Recovering herself quickly she gestured to Landon, introducing, "Landon -- meet Zacharias, or at any rate Zach, Collins; Zach -- meet Landon Strode."
Zach looked over at the other boy and nodded politely. "Hi. I'm Zach." He held out his hand, but not before giving Siobhan a smirk. "Not Zacharias, I promise."

Siobhan straightened her back and returned Zach's look, before grinning and dipping her angular head. "Granted. I'll remember that." Lowering her voice she muttered to Zach, good-natured- "He thinks we're lovebirds - just see how he looks at the prof."
Zach smiled at her and sat back, kissing her cheek quickly.
"Well, who could blame him?" He whispered back, taking out his quill and parchment from his bag with a lopsided grin.

Glancing upwards she chuckled. "I see that look on your face, Landon!"
((Got to go!))
Zach looked over at Landon, then at the stars. "So what house are you in, Landon?" He asked conversationally.
((Awww ok bye!))
((Awww ok bye!))

((You too, Ro!! Byeeee! :) ))

Zach laughed to himself at her description and smirked at her. "So how've you been, love?" He asked.

Zach smiled and went back to his parchment. "Good." He replied, glancing at her. She was adorable when she blushed, though he didn't say anything.

Zach laughed and finished off his assignment. "Well, it's quite true." He muttered back, handing the professor his assignment.

"Hmmf." She remarked to Zach.
Zach leaned in closer to her.
"You can't deny the truth, love. Sorry." He shrugged nonchalantly and smirked.

Zach sighed and hurried after her. "So, what are you up to today?" He asked, walking beside her. His long legs made it easier to keep up with Siobhan's quick pace.

Zach thought for a moment, then snapped. "Viaduct. I'll see you there, love." He smiled and kissed her cheek before turning around and walking the other way to the viaduct.
((Want me to post or you?))

((By your leave, moi. Sorry for the tardy postings!))
Luke drummed his fingers on the telescope, peering at Saturn from different angles.
He moved away from the lens and sketched Saturn's position and compared the coordinates to Mars.
"75° north and 108° west," he muttered, subtracting the sums.

She heard a boy next to her say something quietly and turned to look at him. Her hearing was always quite good.
"I take it I'm the only person here that can't understand this stuff." she said with a half smile.
Luke turned, taking notice of the girl behind him.
He smiled a little whispering back, "Half the stuff I say makes no sense. I pretend I get this junk." He said he mouth curving into a grin.
"Astronomy is my worst subject," he added.

It was somewhat comforting to know she's not the only one that does bad in this class. Frankly, she does pretty bad in every class.
Luke smiled. "Luckily I had the option to dump divination, and I'm Luke. I would shake your hand but I'm afraid it would be too conspicuous. We shouldn't be talking, you know," he said slyly, turning his head slightly toward her.

She scooted closer to the telescope near her and looked into it. She saw many tiny stars and probably planets that she couldn't identify. She clenched her teeth in frustration and looked down at her book, trying to atleast vaguely understand the lesson.
At a stern look from his teacher Luke moved back towards his own scope.
Jupiter? Or was that Venus? Or just a bright star? Oh, the bluish planets were so much easier to identify.

She looked over at Luke. He was looking into his own telescope. She thought she should share this information with him, since he'd been nice to her and almost got in trouble for it.
After Rylen figured out all the information about Jupiter, she reached over and tapped Luke's telescope to get his attention.
Luke heard a swift ping of metal and turned back towards Rylen.
"What is it?" He mouthed, hoping she got the message.

"With that sort of attitude, I shouldn't wonder." Siobhan whispered, her pen scratching on the parchment when she leaned over to speak. Siobhan typically did not enjoy the Roof - too reminiscent of Durmstrang - this night though, the stars were cold and the evening warm and still; the Lake gleamed merrily with the lights!
