Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan laughed, shaking her head exasperatedly. Professor Merriweather gave Landon a glance but turned away to assist a student in his chart.
"With that sort of attitude, I shouldn't wonder." Siobhan whispered, her pen scratching on the parchment when she leaned over to speak. Siobhan typically did not enjoy the Roof - too reminiscent of Durmstrang - this night though, the stars were cold and the evening warm and still; the Lake gleamed merrily with the lights!

Halle | 4729 comments He laughed. "Well, I was just saying what we were all thinking, right?" he teased, and scribbled another note down.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan thinned her lips to evade a smile at this boy, and looked around the classroom. Jasper Collywobbles was bent over a piece of paper, the hand slack and his eyes focused on the professor, David Snickershee even: she turned back, her lips even tighter and offered a slight smile to Landon; saying, "Correct. The boys at any rate!"

message 154: by Halle (new)

Halle | 4729 comments He grinned. "You see Jasper over there? That was me at one point except, I had forgotten there was a dung bomb in my pocket, and it slipped out. The Professor was not very pleased with me, but I think I've been forgiven, as that was many years ago."

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan's mouth worked and she gave up, slapping her knee and laughing aloud. "All right, Strode," She said, "I shall remember not to keep, er, dung bombs in my pocket, eh?" smiled Siobhan and she resumed with her work

message 156: by Halle (new)

Halle | 4729 comments He laughed. "Yes. That is a good plan." He smiled, glad he had finally been able to make Siobhan laugh. He started writing again, but he bumped one of his papers, and watched as it floated down the castle.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan frowned. "I'm sorry," she remarked, leaning over the battlements when the paper flitted down in the darkness. Slipping her hand into the lapel of her blazer, "Blast," Siobhan murmured. Looking up she met the eyes of Landon, biting her lip. "I left my wand in the dorm!" Hesitating rather awkwardly for the response she didn't dally but instead started to chart the stars...

message 158: by Halle (new)

Halle | 4729 comments "That's alright." Landon said. "It wasn't very important anyway. And I'm sorry about your wand, perhaps the Professor will allow you to get it?"

message 159: by Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (last edited Dec 06, 2013 07:22PM) (new)

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan flashed a small smile in the darkness. "No, thanks, it's fine. But," she paused, the smile turning into a teasing grin. "Was the unimportant scrap a sketch of Miss Professor?" she asked, pointing with her quill.

message 160: by Halle (new)

Halle | 4729 comments "I would never!" Landon exclaimed overdramatically, winking. He held up his own quill, and made a note on his parchment.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan grinned and turned back to her parchment. "I'm sure," she murmured to herself, pen scratching the page, shortly afterwards she raised her hands and stretched; looking over to the professor, the entrance, and the Forest in short order.

Zach walked into the classroom, a bit late due to an unexpected chat with the Headmistress. He explained this to his teacher before seeing Siobhan. He smiled and walked over, sitting on the opposite side of her.
"Hello, love."

((Hey guys :) ))

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan glanced over to him on the other side, the wind blowing her auburn hair past her face. Siobhan flashed a welcome smile. "Hallo, Zach," she greeted, she turned away to her parchment to guard the happy flush that sprung up at the arrival of her sweetheart. "Just a tad tardy, are you?" she teased, with an affectionate sidelong glance.
Recovering herself quickly she gestured to Landon, introducing, "Landon -- meet Zacharias, or at any rate Zach, Collins; Zach -- meet Landon Strode."

message 164: by Halle (new)

Halle | 4729 comments ((Hehe, its Stode. ;P))

message 165: by [deleted user] (new)

Zach looked over at the other boy and nodded politely. "Hi. I'm Zach." He held out his hand, but not before giving Siobhan a smirk. "Not Zacharias, I promise."

message 166: by Halle (last edited Dec 06, 2013 07:57PM) (new)

Halle | 4729 comments He grinned at the two lovebirds. "Nice to meet you Zach." he held out his own hand, his eyes darting between Siobhan and Zach, before settling back on the Professor.

message 167: by Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (last edited Dec 06, 2013 08:06PM) (new)

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) ((Oh, goodness. I forgot.))

Siobhan straightened her back and returned Zach's look, before grinning and dipping her angular head. "Granted. I'll remember that." Lowering her voice she muttered to Zach, good-natured- "He thinks we're lovebirds - just see how he looks at the prof."

message 168: by Halle (new)

Halle | 4729 comments ((You're fine. :D ))

message 169: by [deleted user] (new)

Zach smiled at her and sat back, kissing her cheek quickly.
"Well, who could blame him?" He whispered back, taking out his quill and parchment from his bag with a lopsided grin.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) ((Naw. Thanks, :D.))

message 171: by Halle (new)

Halle | 4729 comments Landon watched them whispered to each other, and rolled his eyes, turning back to his book. He turned the age, and added something on his star chart.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan laughed aloud. "That's what he says," she responded, looking up to the stars and drawing a line straight from Jupiter to Altair.
Glancing upwards she chuckled. "I see that look on your face, Landon!"

((Got to go!))

message 173: by [deleted user] (new)

Zach looked over at Landon, then at the stars. "So what house are you in, Landon?" He asked conversationally.

((Awww ok bye!))

message 174: by Halle (new)

Halle | 4729 comments ((Night Ro!!!))

"What look?" he asked, looking back at them, his eyebrows raised.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) ((Oh, dang, I forgot interrupting the Fencing Arena, I guess that'll have to wait. Lol. Good-bye! Have a good weekend!))

message 176: by [deleted user] (new)

((You too, Ro!! Byeeee! :) ))

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Half of Siobhan's mouth quirked in a smile and she motioned towards Landon, "Zach," she raised an eyebrow to Landon apologetically, "Landon, you are looking at the professor like a...a stunned fish." Shrugging her lanky shoulders she went back to the paper, the good-natured jib lightening the air, the students' robes lightly brushing the roof's flagstones with a swish.

message 178: by [deleted user] (new)

Zach laughed to himself at her description and smirked at her. "So how've you been, love?" He asked.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan's cheeks pinkened despite herself and she put her head to work on the Astronomy project. "Great," she responded, giving the boy a sidelong glance she then questioned. "And you?"

message 180: by [deleted user] (new)

Zach smiled and went back to his parchment. "Good." He replied, glancing at her. She was adorable when she blushed, though he didn't say anything.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan caught his look. "That is your 'Si's so pretty' look." She announced, the professor beginning to collect the student's work. "Back to your assignment."

message 182: by [deleted user] (new)

Zach laughed and finished off his assignment. "Well, it's quite true." He muttered back, handing the professor his assignment.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan tossed her dark eyes skyward, adding her paper to the pile. Professor Merriweather riffled through them and lifted her black eyebrows approvingly, "Impressive work, children," she advised the group. Siobhan shared a smile with her group, calling out thanks to the professor.
"Hmmf." She remarked to Zach.

message 184: by [deleted user] (new)

Zach leaned in closer to her.
"You can't deny the truth, love. Sorry." He shrugged nonchalantly and smirked.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan tossed her head and scoffed, sauntering towards the entryway and then throwing a few good-byes over her shoulder she left Astronomy; her heels clacking on the stone steps.

message 186: by [deleted user] (new)

Zach sighed and hurried after her. "So, what are you up to today?" He asked, walking beside her. His long legs made it easier to keep up with Siobhan's quick pace.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan descended the stairs quickly, giving him a mild look. "I shan't be antisocial to my poor sweetheart, although I've to drop these off in Hufflepuff common - where should I meet you?" she asked, continuing to walk with papers piled in her hands.

message 188: by [deleted user] (new)

Zach thought for a moment, then snapped. "Viaduct. I'll see you there, love." He smiled and kissed her cheek before turning around and walking the other way to the viaduct.

((Want me to post or you?))

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) Siobhan tilted her head noncommittally and continued down the stairs by herself.

((By your leave, moi. Sorry for the tardy postings!))

message 190: by [deleted user] (new)

((It's alright! :) ))

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) ((Thank you!))

Luke drummed his fingers on the telescope, peering at Saturn from different angles.

He moved away from the lens and sketched Saturn's position and compared the coordinates to Mars.

"75° north and 108° west," he muttered, subtracting the sums.

message 193: by Janna (new)

Janna (jannaalm) Rylen was sitting on a stool next to a telescope, a bit dazed. She always had no idea what was going on in this class.

She heard a boy next to her say something quietly and turned to look at him. Her hearing was always quite good.

"I take it I'm the only person here that can't understand this stuff." she said with a half smile.

Luke turned, taking notice of the girl behind him.
He smiled a little whispering back, "Half the stuff I say makes no sense. I pretend I get this junk." He said he mouth curving into a grin.

"Astronomy is my worst subject," he added.

message 195: by Janna (new)

Janna (jannaalm) "You had me convinced," she admitted, giggling. "Mine's Divination, but Astronomy is a close second behind. I'm Rylen, by the way."

It was somewhat comforting to know she's not the only one that does bad in this class. Frankly, she does pretty bad in every class.

Luke smiled. "Luckily I had the option to dump divination, and I'm Luke. I would shake your hand but I'm afraid it would be too conspicuous. We shouldn't be talking, you know," he said slyly, turning his head slightly toward her.

message 197: by Janna (new)

Janna (jannaalm) Rylen stiffled a laugh, noticing for the first time how loud her voice must've been. "Like I said, I really don't know what's going on here," she said in the quietest voice she could manage with Luke being able to hear her.

She scooted closer to the telescope near her and looked into it. She saw many tiny stars and probably planets that she couldn't identify. She clenched her teeth in frustration and looked down at her book, trying to atleast vaguely understand the lesson.

At a stern look from his teacher Luke moved back towards his own scope.
Jupiter? Or was that Venus? Or just a bright star? Oh, the bluish planets were so much easier to identify.

message 199: by Janna (new)

Janna (jannaalm) A smile spread across Rylen's face as she remembered something. Jupiter was supposed to be the largest planet. She quickly grabbed her pencil and tried to find out the coordinates.

She looked over at Luke. He was looking into his own telescope. She thought she should share this information with him, since he'd been nice to her and almost got in trouble for it.

After Rylen figured out all the information about Jupiter, she reached over and tapped Luke's telescope to get his attention.

Luke heard a swift ping of metal and turned back towards Rylen.
"What is it?" He mouthed, hoping she got the message.
