"Grind" is a short story collection published by Torrey House Press. The stories are linked by the characters and places of Reno, Nevada. Called "prime American fiction" by author Alyson Hagy and recognized by Publisher's Weekly as a debut collection that "bursts with idiosyncratic characters…packs a strong emotional punch…is strangely entertaining.”

I live in Reno where I teach college creative writing and English classes and am the fiction editor for "The Meadow" literary journal. My work has appeared in "Tahoe Blues", "Lunch Ticket" and the "Duck and Herring Pocket Field Guide."
