June ReadaThing is happening this week. This is a great opportunity for those who are keen on readathons to take part in a marathon! You aren't expected to read for 7 full days but to sign up to certain hours or be a general reader throughout the week. It's great for us kiwi's to fill in the night slots that are early mornings on the other side of the world!
If you want to know more or sign up, click this link ---> June ReadaThing

You may have to be a member of LibraryThings to see it. But sign up! What's another book lovin' community!

Drop Everything and Read Day ReadaThing (April 6-12, 2014)

Sorry for the short notice!

What is ReadaThing?

ReadaThing is NOT a read-a-thon!!
You do not have to read for the entire week unless you want to! ReadaThing is a time when we gather to read & share what we read. The best analogy is that RaT is like a relay race where a runner hands a baton off to the next runner. Some of the readers sign up for specific reading times & some don't, but there is always someone in the group reading somewhere in the world.

P.D.R. Lindsay (pdrlindsay) | 1636 comments Missed out, of course, floods again! But I have discovered a whole new lot of readers who might read and review our Writer's Choice books!

Thank you for the introduction, Sharlene.

Spooktacular ReadaThing
ReadaThing is a long-standing group that hosts one of my favorite LibraryThing traditions: relay-style read-a-thons. LibraryThing members across the globe volunteer for time slots, such that we've always got someone reading around the clock for the duration of the ReadaThing.

The week of Halloween, we'll have a ReadaThing launching at midnight UTC between Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th (that's 8pm Eastern on Friday). The read-a-thon will end 96 hours later, at 7pm Eastern on Friday, October 31st.
ReadaThing participants can read whatever they want, wherever they want, whenever they want, though we're aiming for a timely horror theme for this one. What will you be reading? Tell us all about it on Talk.

» Check out this Talk post to learn more and sign up!

Planning on reading, but not sure when? That's okay, too! There's always room for readers who don't want to commit to a specific timeline. See this wiki page for details.
