Bailey Hendrickson (baichasey) Ok, I don't know if it is just me, but I find it extremely hard to comment on other people's posts because I have read the whole book and I don't want to give anything away. Did the few of you that have read the entire book feel frustrated that almost ALL of them were ROBOTS??? What do you think their ring leader meant by saying that they weren't testing the kids but that they were testing the robots? Testing them for what? Being in the army? Taking over the planet by disguising themselves as real people?

Dhfisher84 I totally agree with you on having to make comments. I felt like I had to make things up for the sake of protecting those who hadn't finished the book. Some of the questions were answerable after having read the book, and so I tried to remember what I was thinking when I was at a specific point in the novel. K...I thought that the robots were too easy a solution to the problem of Maxfield. I was annoyed that "everyone" ended up being a robot. However, as soon as we discovered that Jane was a robot, I thought of the possibility of the androids learning how to fight via paintball, and how to react when under stress. (unfortunately, I feel as if the novel lost a lot by going this route, but what can you do.) AS to their purpose...I think it depends on whether or not Maxfield is a private or government company.

Todd Fortin1212 I think that the purpose of Maxfield being a testing ground for androids was pretty interesting but I honestly have no clue as to why they are being tested. Obviously it's to see if they can blend in with humans. They don't need training to fight because it seems violence is already programmed into their systems. There are numerous reasons why anyone would want to have robots, capable of killing, blending in with the public.

Jaree Agreed! I've had to be very careful about what I can post. :)I was confused about what they would be testing the robots for, but I can't think it is anything good. There wasn't any real sense of a military connection or even an interest in earth or the United States specifically. It's almost like the robots are from another planet and don't really know what they are getting into. I'm really curious to finish the trilogy, but honestly I hope it makes more sense as you keep reading because right now there are so many loose ends that I don't even know where to start.
