Night Film by Marisha Pessl. If the random italics don't kill me, the constipated twists and turns certainly will.

So I finished NOS4A2 and I really liked it. Like I mentioned before it was my first horror book and I got hooked - will definitely read more from him. When I was like 70% through I looked up his other books and his life story - I had no idea he is Stephen Kings son :) Funny fact: I haven't read any of his books.
Now I'm about to start Orphan Train
Blaze by Summer Newman. Here's the blurb:
On July 10, 1846, Blaze Henry’s life in St. Louis was shattered when her uncle and guardian lost his fortune. He fled, but left Blaze a deed for a huge property in the distant west. To claim the land, she had to reach it by December 31st, a wagon journey of two thousand miles along the famous Oregon Trail. She met a gorgeous man named John Masters, one of America’s fastest gunfighters. Along with his best friend, Cordell, the three of them had to survive countless perils on this journey, and during the trip, they discovered love and scorching eroticism.

I've finished On Beauty by Zadie Smith 5★ Most Highly RecommendedMy review is at: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Finished Orphan Train and loved it! I gave 4 stars: the book runs in 2 storylines and I really loved the one that ran through 1920-1940s, I did like 2011 one too, but nearly as much as the other one. Now I'm also a bit smarter about American history and feel need to google more about Orphan trains.I recommend this to everyone!
Now I'm starting The Husband's Secret

I loved that novel!
Currently reading Outlander by Diana Gabaldon; I'm in 1743 Scottish highlands. Very pleased to see there is up to Outlander #8.

I've ordered a copy of the paperback, due for release in the next few months..............I can't wait to start it!!!!!
Chyenne wrote: "You read fast! Glad you enjoyed Orphan Train. I also read and loved The Husband's Secret." Thanks :) I have always thought of myself as a slow reader, because I read every detail and if I start daydreaming or don't understand something I'll read the part again :D
But right now I had 7 books coming in from the library around the same time and I'm a housewife without kids, so I just dropped everything else and do all my reading :)
I just finished Lost Lake and gave it 3 stars. It took me only 7hr to read it, so it was fast and easy read. I liked it, but didn't find anything special about it. I loved the setting thou - could imagine exactly how the lake and cabins looked like :) I would love to go for a vacation to Lost Lake.
Now I'll start my last and the thickest book from my library pile: The Goldfinch. I have heard good and bad things about this, but in here everyone seems to like it, so I hope I'll become one of you :)
