I just finished reading The Handmaid's Tale, I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite books ever.Currently I'm reading the following fiction/non-fiction books:
I'm enjoying all of these so far.

I highly recommend if you are looking for something different in thriller/suspense. In a world where every second person is a self-proclaim..."
I just finished Hitler Youth: Growing Up in Hitler's Shadow ****. Just a short review. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and I am currently reading When Calls the Heart
by Janette Oke
The Mis-education of the Negro. At first I was like "meh", then I was like "Oh?" and now I'm like "wow"
Cynthia wrote: "I am currently reading Here and Gone"Nice one! I am currently reading "Aesop's Fables". But if you think I'm still a kid, I'm not. I'm 15 years old. Do you know NORA ROBERTS?
I'm currently reading The House of Secrets by Sarra Manning. It's a fantastic read that has captured my attention...eating and domesticity has flown out of the window!!! Haha.
I recently read The Witness by Nora Roberts - it's very good. I also just read Americanah by a woman whose surname is Adichie - it was excellent.
Now I'm reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and am enjoying it too!
Happy reading!
Currently reading "Samson' by Jacquelin Thomas. An African American contemporary version of the Biblical account. Very good read!

Maria wrote: "While The World Watched by Carolyn Maull McKinstry is an awesome read. (non fiction,Civil Rights Movement) Also, I just read Mom & Me & Mom by Maya Angelou. It's good. (non fiction, memoir)"
I read "While the World Watched" a couple of years ago and found it fascinating and heartbreaking. It was one of the best memoirs I've ever read. Thoroughly recommend it.
Cassie Selleck
Author of The Pecan Man
Cathy wrote: "Just finished The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry & anxious to start The Invention of Wings."Those are both two of my very favorite books. I wasn't sure I would love Harold Fry because of the pacing of the book, but then I realized it fit the story perfectly. Lovely little book. And The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd shot right up to the top for me, along with To Kill a Mockingbird and Ferrol Sams' Run With the Horsemen and Lee Smith's Oral History.

The Pecan Man
I recently read "My Grandmother Told Me to Tell You She's Sorry". There were a few times I thought, I'm not sure about this one, but I'm glad I stuck with it to the end. I loved the characters, but sometimes the narrative drags a bit. I'm looking forward to reading A Man Called Ove by the same author, but my daughter commandeered my copy and I have to wait until I visit her again! Cassie Dandridge Selleck

I'm reading Truman by David McCullough & I Can't Make This Up Life Lessons by Kevin Hart. Curious if others read more than one book at a time?
I read at least 2 at a time - currently reading Straight Man by Richard Russo, Them by Joyce Carol Oates, and The Pocket Rumi.
Julia wrote: "I'm reading Truman by David McCullough & I Can't Make This Up Life Lessons by Kevin Hart. Curious if others read more than one book at a time?"You're lucky you can Julia. I get so involved in a particular story that sadly I just can't read more than one at a time.
