i am currently reading 4 books. Starting Your Day Right, Ending Your Day Right, The Purpose Driven Life and The Daily Walk Bible..
I listened to the audio book Tell The Wolves I'm Home and I liked it. It wasn't outstanding but enjoyable.
I'm currently reading 3 books: The Fountainhead- Ayn Rand, The Tenth of December- George Saunders, and 101 Really Important Things You Already Know, But Keep Forgetting- Ernie Zelinski.
I have just finished reading the entire Ben Hood Thriller series of books by Drew Lindsay. His books are Australian drama and feature an ex Police Detective as the main character. All the books in the series feature romance, excitement and fast paced adventure. The first book in the series is CORAL SEA AFFAIR which is free and introduces the main character who has a unique way of tackling almost any situation.Drew Lindsay
I'm reading The Death of Santini. I'm enjoying it so far. This guy sure was the master of disguise and very delusional.
Just finished Anne off Green Gables for a face-to-face book club. Would you believe it's never read it? I loved it. Now plodding through Seabiscuit. Not loving it so much...yet, anyhow.
May wrote: "I really liked ADMISSION. Can't wait to hear what you think."I've already seen the movie(didn't know it was a book), so far it's pretty good.
Loved The Book Thief and saw the movie NYE. Started Code Name Verity. Finished Gone Girl, The Age of Miracles, and Defending Jacob recently. January's off to a great start!
_The Book Thief_ is an excellent book! I also liked _Gone Girl_ (although it's pretty twisted) and _The Age of Miracles_ (very creative). _Defending Jacob_ is on my to-read list. I'll have to put _Admission_ on there, too. Who wrote it?

I am currently reading "The Aftermath" by Rhidian Brook a WWII story & I am also listening to "Ford County" by John Grisham and I totally love his southern accent as he narrates the book.
Cathy wrote: "Just finished Anne off Green Gables for a face-to-face book club. Would you believe it's never read it? I loved it. Now plodding through Seabiscuit. Not loving it so much...yet, anyhow."I'm with you and have never read Anne of Green Gables. Seabiscuit I bet will be a hard read with all the politics of horse racing. I did enjoy the movie.
I can't do it. I just can't do it. This book is so boring to me. I don't care about books about animals. I don't like horses or horse racing. I've been trying to read this book for a f2f group, but I give up. There are so many books that I *want* to read, I don't want to spend time reading something I don't like. My first DNF for 2014.
Cathy wrote: "I failed to say the book is Seabiscuit. Geez..."That is my mantra too! I'm glad WE learned that although it was a lesson that took awhile to accept.
Carol wrote: "Just started The Silent Wife. Not sure where it is going."Carol, don't worry - it goes somewhere!
I'm listening to Girls Like Us about Carly Simon, Carol King and Jeannie Mitchell. 19 cds. It is pretty much a history book but I learned Carly Simon is related to the publishing house Simon and Schuster. That is pretty interesting!
Angela wrote: "The Invention of Wings was an amazing story , Cheyenne . Hope you enjoy it !"Thanks! So far, so good!
I am reading "The Secret daughter" by Shilpi Gowda set in India, and also listening to "Ghana Must Go". They are both heart wrenching stories of premature deaths of infants and their young mothers.
