message 5258: by Jeron (new)

Jeron | 2 comments I'm reading 'Manchild in the Promised Land' by Claude W. Brown. It's a struggle for me to get through because it seems like an exaggerated account of the fictionalized life of the author, which makes it appear to be unrealistic.

message 5259: by Sally (new)

Sally Abou Ouf (sallyabououf) | 4 comments I just finished reading "Finding Meaning" by David Kessler. A very nice book about moving on. He shares many true stories including his own which adds a lot of credibility to his words.

Now I am reading "Gene Eating" by Dr. Giles Yeo about the human appetite and how it is impacted by our genes as well as the environment. So far it is proving to be an interesting read and quite informative.

message 5292: by May (new)

message 5293: by H. (new)

H. James (h_melvin_james) | 22 comments I'm asking anyone who has read Volume II of "Tares among the Wheat" if they caught the symbolic metaphor of the wobbly table in the hotel dining room.

message 5294: by Judy (new)

Judy (pacurn80) May, that’s good. I’m new here and noticed there’s just so many people advertising about their new book or looking for reviews and things that don’t even pertain to Oprah’s book club !! Isn’t there any club where people can just talk about what they’re reading without other people advertising?!!
