Does anyone else hate Katniss?

I appreciate this answer a lot. It has been so frustrating to think of young women (I feel like I should duck!

Then you didn't read the book properly or really understood Katniss if you actually thought Katniss wanted another game. If you read too fast than you can miss the clues. I had to re-read the passage a second time straight after because it didn't make sense for her character to say yes. And then it made sense, she was tricking Coin.
Major evidence for this is when she thinks back to 75 years ago and thinks of pleas of mercy being ignored, and since she realise nothing has changes, pleas of mercy would be ignored again even if they voted against it because Coin is the one in power and is no better than Snow.
And since Coin already tried to kill Katniss and she's forced to check her weapons in, she didn't want Coin to suspect her so she could get her weapon close to her to kill her.
I wrote a thread with pictures of highlighted text for the clues and a better explanation on how the ending is misunderstood.

I agree, Katniss never really "stuck" with Me, nothing about Her really stood out to Me. I found Her very dry, bland, blunt, and just...........well She has the personality of dry toast. The only people She showed any type of compassion was Prim and Rue! and She only showed compassion on Rue because She reminded Her of Prim! Katniss was a bit cold in the first book, but was softer in the second book, then a complete boy crazed hot mess in the last book! What happened to Her development?!

I continue to be surprised, maybe because I incorrectly assume that people who love books understand some basic rules of discussion, of sharing your POV. The cool thing here is that there is no right or wrong answer!(I do need to say that calling everyone who doesn't share your conclusions "crazy"? That's not useful, its just disrespectful and not nice) I just want to know why you like her. Full stop. You *have* to back up your statement here. It means nothing if you (and this is not me slappin' you around, this applies to all of us, particularly when someone has asked a direct question). I love to learn from other people, to have new perspectives that I miss because I am just one person.
Help me with a question too, someone, how many YA "dystopian" books have come out in the past 5-10 years? If there aren't very many, maybe it is more helpful to compare Katniss to a broader group? (Or not, which is why I need help) :)
