Just finished a great little Muriel Sparks' book called Robinson (the title didn't come up to add the link). It was an entertaining story set on a deserted island called Robinson.

That's interesting. The only Muriel Spark book I have read is The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. I must read some more of hers.

Hi Michael, As I promised yesterday, I have posted my review of N.E. Bode's, The Anybodies, a charming middle grade fantasy. I also placed this review on Amazon. Is there another way of showing you the review other than just posting this comment and telling you that I have posted my review? Let me know. Thank you all so much.

Michele wrote: "I am re-reading The Sunne in Splendour by Sharon Kay Penman one of my favourite books of all time"A good time to re-read that one with all the excitement of the discovery of Richard IIIs bones. I loved that book. I also enjoyed Josephine Tey's The Daughter of Time, based on the mystery of who killed the princes in the tower.

Jeanne, when you post your review, you will see in the top 'thingy' (mental blank on what it's called) http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... You highlight, then right click on copy, come here to where you're posting, and right click 'paste', and it will show. Hope that helps:)

At the moment I'm reading Requiem. Then starting The Silver Linings Playbook. Seen the movie and loved it, so moving onto the book as well.

Happy Birthday Kelly. I hope you had a great day :)

I currently have three books on the go, something I almost never do these day (apart from the ones I am teaching). I suspect that The Last Runaway will be the first one finished as Tracey Chevalier is one of my favourite authors.

I am struggling with it at the moment, I didn't realise there would be so much information about her own family, which does not seem all that relevant. So I picked up Triptych by Karin Slaughter which I could not put down and finished the same day.
I just finished Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver as part of my Summer Challenge and enjoyed it very much! Four stars from me and here is my review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...I moved on to The Jungle School (Kindle version), which is a selection of journal entries by anthropologist Butet Manurung during the years she spent in the heart of an Indonesian jungle with an indigenous tribe, the Orang Rimba. She then went on to introduce education to these people and eventually co-founded a non profit, SOKOLA, dedicated to bringing education to various indigenous groups in Indonesia living in remote areas and often untouched by government programs. This may sound like a bit of a plug, but so far I am finding the stories heartwarming and her voice authentic.
Butet is currently based in Australia so I wonder if I should invite her to join this group?

Steve, if you click on 'add book/author' at the top of your comment box, and type in the book, hit search, then click 'add', the book will appear in here, instead of doing it the way you did. It's just a little easier:)

And Another Thing: The World According to Clarkson: Volume 2

I've only read The Poisonwood Bible and didn't like it at all! I'm not going to read anymore of hers, based on that, I'm afraid:)

I'm working my way through The Angel's Game, and I'm finding it a bit of a chore, to be honest. I'm not enjoying it as much as I liked The Prisoner of Heaven and definitely not as much as The Shadow of the Wind, which is one of my favourite books of all time.
