That's interesting. The only Muriel Spark book I have read is The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. I must read some more of hers.

A good time to re-read that one with all the excitement of the discovery of Richard IIIs bones. I loved that book. I also enjoyed Josephine Tey's The Daughter of Time, based on the mystery of who killed the princes in the tower.

Yes, that's why I picked it up Tango, just had to read about Richard all over again. I have been meaning to read The Daughter of Time, I must push it a bit higher on my tbr list :)

I am struggling with it at the moment, I didn't realise there would be so much information about her own family, which does not seem all that relevant. So I picked up Triptych by Karin Slaughter which I could not put down and finished the same day.

I moved on to The Jungle School (Kindle version), which is a selection of journal entries by anthropologist Butet Manurung during the years she spent in the heart of an Indonesian jungle with an indigenous tribe, the Orang Rimba. She then went on to introduce education to these people and eventually co-founded a non profit, SOKOLA, dedicated to bringing education to various indigenous groups in Indonesia living in remote areas and often untouched by government programs. This may sound like a bit of a plug, but so far I am finding the stories heartwarming and her voice authentic.

Butet is currently based in Australia so I wonder if I should invite her to join this group?

I'm working my way through The Angel's Game, and I'm finding it a bit of a chore, to be honest. I'm not enjoying it as much as I liked The Prisoner of Heaven and definitely not as much as The Shadow of the Wind, which is one of my favourite books of all time.
