BlueSky I've currently got The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries Omnibus 1 (Aurora Teagarden, #1-4) by Charlaine Harris , A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness , Careless by Deborah Robertson and Kabul Beauty School An American Woman Goes Behind the Veil by Deborah Rodriguez on the go. It helps, if one gets tedious, to have something else more enjoyable to read for a bit of respite :)

ooo Discovery of witches I loved it hope you like it too

I Just finished Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I really liked The Kabul Beauty School Bluesky.

BlueSky Thanks Melanie - I am finding Witches hard to put down! A nice reprieve from Careless (which is making me feel that way - I could care less! Horrible story, imo) :)

Thanks Mish, I am quite enjoying Kabul Beauty School too - so detailed.

Fascinating read Maggie

It’s about hope and independence for these Afghanistan women. It also tells you about hurdles that Debbie had to go through to keep this beauty school running (and oh my! She is one brave and determined woman, it was just one hurdle after the other) But you also read about every day struggle and the hardship for the women of Afghanistan; from abusive husband, arrange marriages and just general things that we sometimes take for granted. Detailed and honest writing yet easy to read.

I gave it 3 stars but I think I will bump it up to 4. I think it’s worth reading :)

Michelle,I’m more than ½ way through but unfortunately it’s not working as well as I hoped. The writing style is little complex; poetic, lack of talking marks and struggling to understand the some of the character’s pov. I’m finding myself concentrating so hard on what he/her it trying to say than actually enjoying the story. It gets a little easier over the course of the book but there are still some shady bits.

Thinking about ordering some Primeval books online. Has anyone seen that TV show? There are some novelizations of the episodes, but also some original novels, such as: Primeval: Extinction Event, Primeval: The Lost Island + 2 others.

She's not Aussie, is she Shelleyrae? I was going to say, how long does it take for her to research her books, but reading the little bit about her on her profile, it seems she's from where she based the two books you're currently reading. Which do sound really good!!

EDIT: I see she currently resides in Australia, so she is classed as Aussie?

She is South African by birth but grew up in Australia and, after a brief stint overseas, lives in Australia now. Her books were first published here too (Pan MacMillan) and so she is promoted as an Australian author in the publishing world :)

(BTW that second book cover in your post isnt hers. The overseas version of Silent Valley will be called
Blessed are the Dead)

Congratulations KL!! It's awesome isn't it! I've got two to read, but as we can't put the review out there until at least a week before release, I'm waiting a bit....

When you register, it's in that section of rules somewhere. I double checked with Shelleyrae, because she reads ARC's all the time, and she said that's right. You won't have anything approved if you release them early apparently. Check with her if you want.....

I've got one due for publication in June, and one in July, that's why I'm waiting.
