Becca's smile faded. "Ah, I see. Distancing yourself again I see. I get it, you can't trust me because we aren't friends anymore. That's fine with me. Good luck, Melania," Becca replied as she walked away, deeper into the forest.
"We are friends." She whispered after her, "I'll fix this later." She turned her focus back to John. "Babe, it's time I opened up."
"Yea I think it is." John said looking at her.
She sat in a nearby log, as she did the loose wood cut the through her jeans and made a gouge in her leg. Mel barely noticed trying to focus on her love. She began, "I can't be with you because our souls are connected. A wizard made foe by my father is after me to spite him. I have been having dreams and I am forced to die. Because our souls are connected, when I die you are left unconscious with a dead soul. That's why we can't be together."
"You still love me though." John said sitting next to her.
She smiled small, "the couple days without you I felt so much yearning I swear I have internal injuries."
"You need to let go Mel entirely if you still love me we're still together and well you know what happens then." John said with a sigh.
Melania smiled. "Me. Melania Flickwick. A witch. Child of man. Child of Hogwarts. But above all else I am yours." She grabbed him and pulled him into a hug. "It doesn't matter what happens, I will always be yours. Yours." She whispered, her warm breath tickling his neck.
John hugged her tightly with a sigh a tear ran down his cheek as they separated, "I love you Melania Flickwick." He said softly.
Melania put her smooth lips on his stubble covered cheek and kissed him. "I love you too."
John sighed and closed his eyes thinking about everything, "this is going to happen one way or the other isn't it?"
She looked away, fear forcing her to tremble. Mel squeezed his hand, "yes."
"Well I guess all we can do is enjoy our time left." He said
Melania nodded slightly in reply and added, "I don't think we should tell anyone."
"Agreed." John said putting a arm around her.
She snuggled into him and started to sing Santa Baby softly.
John shook his head amused and smiled holding her.
Mel stopped singing and looked up into his laughing eyes, "what?"
"Nothing that song my friend used to sing it around Christmas time and then he... God what happened to him? Well that's bad I should be able to remember him." John muttered.
Melania nudged his shoulder with his to snap him back into reality. She laughed lopoint

John looked at her and smiled coming back to reality
"You wanna go get some food. All of a sudden I am hungry. " she pointed toward the castle as she asked. "Well, I am always hungry, but..."
"You can go and eat I'll come but I won't eat I've lost my appetite for months now." John said.
Her voice rose as she ordered, "Jackal! You will eat. You are as skinny as a twig." She added in her mind, 'minus the ripped abs and arms.' Mel realized their souls were connected therefore they could read each other's minds. Her face flushed as red as a tomato.
"Now you realize, anyways moving on I am perfectly fine dear stop worrying." John said looking at her.
Melania stood up, "I will worry until I see some improvement."
"You may do as you like." He said.
She chuckled and grabbed his habds pulling him up, "lets go. There are only so many meals I can gorge myself with left."
"Alright come on." John said smiling

She let go of his warm hand and pointed around the forest, "where's the fun?"
"Just come on it's father in." John said smiling.
He smiled and took her hand.
"Are we there yet?" She teased in a nasally voice.
"You sound so much like pug right now." John said with a chuckle.
She gasped, "we should have a cake fight, in the great hall!"
"Because it's on my bucket list!" She gave him a cheesy smile.
