Ophelia stepped to the side of him eyes determined and wand raised. " We do it together" she said her time cool. No hint of a joke in her voice.

Micah sighed but let it pass, "You're incorrigible." he muttered under his breath, the sound muffled in the humid marsh but only fired her a encouraging glance henceforth "Together." he pledged. The ghoul finally noticed them out of its murky eyeballs and charged towards them in a blundering step, Micah caught his breath "One, two...three! Stupefy!" he shouted, the spell zooming from his wand in a jet of red light.

Ophelia sent her spell flying and she watched as they hit the ghoul. The size of the ghoul was surprising and she wasn't sure if stunning was enough. Ophelia sensed that Micah was irritated but left it for later as she was rather occupied at the current moment

Andi and Zach both shot spells at the ghoul, but it seemed as though all their power wasn't good enough. It only seemed to hurt it a bit.

Micah whipped his head to the side as the ghoul charged having no time for anything else and searched the bog for his comrades "Ophelia? Devereux!" he shouted, in the marshy darkness he was unable to see anything, least of all the ghoul "Andi! Zach." he called powerless to stop the last from sounding surly. He swore and cupped his hand over his wand like stoking a flame and muttered "Lumos," it lit and he watched the unerring night around him wary of the ghoul, afraid for Ophelia.

"Here!" Andi and Zach both called out in unison. "Where are you guys?" Andi yelled. She could only see Zach.

Ophelia's response was a blood curdling screech. She had fallen and now the ghoul towered over her. Desperately trying to scramble up but only sinking deeper she watched in horror as the ghouls bent down its horrendous mouth slowly opening. She pointed her wand in front of her defensively desperately praying for a spell to appear in her mind.

Micah winced and ducked suddenly when the ghoul, attracted by the noise clomped towards him, he crouched in the undergrowth trying not to curse once more "Keep it down okay?" he hissed and Ophelia screamed. Micah's blood ran cold and he bolted up, darting blindly through the undergrowth "Andi is Devereux with you?" he yelled frantically and saw the ghoul.
He said the first thing that came into his mind, the second being "Petrificus Totalus!" the spell shot from his wand and he prayed that it flew true.

Andi heard the scream and was about to run, but Zach gripped her arm.

"I'll find her. You find Micah!" He ran off.

Andi followed the sound of Micah's voice where she last heard it. Then all of a sudden she bumped into something and stifled a scream once she realized it was Micah. "Sorry, mate."

Zach ran towards where he heard the scream. Soon he found Ophelia surrounded by ghouls. He yelled spells at them, and soon got them far enough away he could get to her. He ran to Ophelia's side and pulled her to her feet, but the ghouls were advancing again.

The spell struck the ghoul and it hit the ground spraying slime and marshy water everywhere. The giant splash splattered all over Ophelia who shielded her face. Once she got her wits about her she pulled herself out and gave the ghoul a rather well aimed kick.

He closed his eyes as the spell illuminated not one, but several and raced to them standing in front of Ophelia and Zach "You bloody idiots get out of the way!" he shouted to them and gave Ophelia a embarrassed glance "Not you." he muttered and took her hand, watching the clodhopping creatures advance "Run!" he yelled and and pulled her out of the way and one attacked into the forest.

Zach wanted to punch Micah, but now wasn't the time. He ran alongside of Ophelia when he stopped abruptly. "Where's Andi?!"

Andi glanced around her and realized Micah was no longer there. She pulled out her wand. It was eerily quiet. "Guys?" She said quietly. "Guys!" She yelled and then couldn't see anything. Even the brightness of her wand was covered by some sort of veil. A ghoul. She stood still and didn't move. She knew if she tried it would distract her.

Ophelia did as she was told but took Michahs hand and dragged him with her. Suddenly she turned around and grabbed Andi. "Obstruere!" She shrieked pull in the girl with her. tree branches came together and stones rose along with twigs and compacted in mid air to create a barricade. Staring in shock at her wand she took off running

"Devereux's with me, I'm to the west, by where we saw the first ghoul." Micah shouted out as briskly as possible. "Perhaps we should get moving?" he asked sardonically and then reconsidered the situation as the branches grew "On other hand she's no longer with me." eh said dryly "I'm still where I was surrounded by some blasted branches."

Andi held her wand tightly.
'They've left you. Abandoned you.' A voice said, and she shook her head. 'They know of your weakness. You're disability. You're weakness holds them back.'

Micah ground his teeth and went after Andi, making a decision to find Ophelia when he had convened with the others. He stopped by her tall figure and noticed another slim girl by Andi, "Devereux?!" he asked unable to keep the amazement and relief from his voice, he masked it with a brisk inquiry "What is wrong with Andi?"

Micah stepped forwards "Oi Devereux girl," he said, uncharacteristically blunt, "watch it. The girl's been in shock," he told her and took her arm more gently "Andi? What on earth in wrong?" a bellow sounded and he without ado took both girls by their arms, fired a glanced at Zach, clearly saying come if you want, and dragged them a distance away, by a creek surrounded by aspens.
He leaned against one and looked between them "Now is everything all right?" he said instinctively taking command as the group's leader, Micah half-smirked "Besides the fact we just got attacked by bloody marsh ghouls of course," his exhilaration was starting to wear off

Andi struggled against Micah's grip. "I need to find them!" She snapped. She could barely see the three figures around her. She didn't know they were Micah and Ophelia and Zach. "Please!"

Micah held her arm tighter "No Andi." he said quietly "We're your friends. No one is lost," he told her soothingly, he glanced up to Zach and begging with his eyes he swallowed his pride, "Collins could you console Andi?" he asked in a undertone, "Devereux and I are going to have a talk."

Zach nodded. He walked over to Andi and put his hands on her arms. "Andi, calm down. It's me, Zach. And Micah is here. And Ophelia."

Andi shook her head, but didn't move otherwise. "I need to find Zach. I need to get back to Simon. I need my friends!"

Micah sent a concerned look to her while he stepped away, his grasp on her arm finally releasing. He stood next to Ophelia "Devereux can I have a word?" he asked brusquely standing by the somewhat shell-shocked fourth year, by no means could he blame her goodness knows he was surprised enough, he thought to himself.

Micah sighed "What happened to her?" he asked briskly fully aware Zach would know as well as she, "One moment she was fine, then what happened?" he spoke brusquely but his eyes were full of concern, as much for Ophelia as for Andi.

Micah reached up and put his hand on her cheek softly, he lowered his voice and spoke quickly to Ophelia, "What about you?" he asked her quietly, the marsh sounds suddenly falling silent, the birds ceasing their whining chirps and frogs quieting their dull songs.

Ophelia gave him a stiff smile, " I'll be fine! Nothing a Gryffindor can't handle" Looking away she twisted her hands nervously. The lack of sound had become eerie.

Andi shook, but her vision started becoming clearer and she knew it was her friends there. "I'm sorry." She whispered to Zach, and he pulled her into a hug.

"Don't be. You're alright." He said. "She's alright!" He yelled to Micah and Ophelia.

Micah smiled sadly "Not all meritorious houses can be Gryffindor," he reminded cocking a eyebrow stepping away from her, "I'm glad," he started to walk away to Andi when Zach shouted but caught himself and turned back to Ophelia "Remember I'm here if you need me," he told her quietly and smiling briefly jogged back to Andi and Zach "Andi! What happened," he searched her eyes concerned "Collins?" he asked turning to Zach.

Ophelia smiled " I will Micah" she said. Watching run a distance off she sat up against a tree. Tucking her knees up to her chest she watched the group of three before her.

Andi, still shaking, looked up at Micah and drew away from Zach.
"There was a ghoul... It confused me and kept talking to me about how you all left me and... And then I didn't know anything beyond that, not where I was. I could barely see you when you found me." She said, looking down at her feet. "I'm sorry."

Micah shook his head "No, don't be sorry Andi, it wasn't your fault," he said kindly, "we're always here for you," his gaze flicked to Ophelia for a second illuminated by their flickering wand-light and caught her smile. "Don't be sorry." he said again and looked up at the sky from where they stood "We'd best camp," he said brusquely, "Perhaps not close to here, the creatures will relay on a pool for water." he said.
