Victoria walked into the forbidden forest

Sammi walked into the forbidden forest searching a rose bush. She glanced around and a girl standing near a large bush covered with dead roses.

Phoenix was laying on her stomach drawing a picture of the forest in front of her.

[Halle]

Landon snuck into the forest, his wand out in case he saw anything. The only reason he was here is to get a plant for one of his pranks. He stumbled on something, and looking back he saw it was a girl. "Oh, sorry! Are you okay?"

Phoenix looked around and her eyes landed on a boy."I'm fine, the real question is are you okay?" She asked.

*she asked standing up.

"I'm fine." He said heading back over to her.

Ophelia walked into the Forest. It was a new and utterly terrifying sight. She pushed her fear back and looked around. The trees towering a over her were certainly a sight to see. Her hand gripped her wand tightly as she waited

Andi wasn't as scared. She'd been here before, many times.

Zach hid his fear. He'd been here before as well, but it wasn't a good day. He rubbed at the scars on his wrists, three claw marks.

Micah looked behind him to Ophelia and smiled consolingly "You'll be all right, Devereux." he told her as they waited, "Remember that if something attacks or if you're scared..." the sentence needed no finish, I'm here.
He stepped closer to the edge to see where Andi and Zach were, and nearly ran into them both. In the forest every outside shadow was darker by far and the evening had almost disappeared. "You all ready?" he asked them

Andi nodded courageously. "Ready."

"As I'll ever be." He heard the howl of a wolf, and shook his head. This time he'd be more careful. He wouldn't be almost killed by the wolves this time.

Micah grinned the white flash visible even in the dark Forbidden Forest "Good." he said cheerfully and directed the grin to Ophelia, if the others weren't there he certainly would have grasped her hand, she looked so lost. "Well!" he lit his wand and started to walk through the wood.
Twilight had drawn its cloak of shadows over Hogwarts and he nearly fell over a few thorns crossing the patch "Watch your step." he called behind him "The path is full with brambles."

Andi and Zach both held their illuminated wands above their heads. "Got it." Andi replied.

Ophelia followed after him she missed several brambles narrowly before deciding just to leap over them, which she did. Landing gracefully she smiled at Micah's look. " Dance training"

Micah smiled in the relative dark, and glanced behind him to the girl who just spoke "Good job." was all he said before the smile widening turning back to the trail. He searched the trees alongside the path for goblins, like A Grimms fairy tale with sprites and nasty goblins.

Andi and Zach walked quietly side by side. They both knew what they had to do. They had to save their friend. And keep each other safe in the group.

Micah ventured further into the wood the silver wand-lit burning like a white flame in the forest, not straying out of sight thank goodness he walked looking up to the heights of the forest the clouds beautifully pink and gold in the sunset, veritable castles in the air, he thought wryly and turned around a bend.
Micah froze, whispering "Nox!" urgently. He backpedaled stealthily and at Zach and Ophelia and Andi held his arm before them "There's something in that path." he said quietly "I've got a very bad feeling about this."

Ophelia stopped right behind him her wand pointing straight out. " There's only one way to find out what it is" she whispered into his ear heart pounding.

Andi glanced around the corner.
"What is that?" She asked quietly.

Zach stood and held his wand behind his back, and whispered "nox."

Micah looked at her and nodded almost imperceptibly. "Stay behind me." he said to her quietly "Whatever you do." and approached the bend again his wand raised. As he passed the beach tree that guarded the pathway a yowl erupted in the silence and a unearthly sound echoed in the forest.
After a second Micah fell over laughing.

Andi looked at Micah and sighed. "What was that?!" She said, slightly amused but also mad.

Zach nearly punched Micah. He clenched his fists but didn't say anything, his face not betraying his emotions.

Ophelia frowned and bent down next to him. " What are you doing Lancaster!" she snapped holding her wand out.

Micah turned around shoulders still shaking with laughter. A scurry was heard and the shape vanished. He shook his head and finally regained control on his voice , holding up a hand. "A Niffler." was all he said before he started to chuckle again: To be honest he was tense beforehand and the fuzzy little creature in the pathway.

Andi rolled her eyes. "Come on, Micah." She said and began walking again. Zach followed behind, not looking at Micah.

" Not funny" she snapped giggling slightly herself and prodding him in the shoulder. " Lets get going Monsieur Laughs a lot"

Micah snickered "Sorry to give you all such a heart attack." he said catching up, "Watch it Collins," he murmured as he passed Zach, "Don't think I liked that either." picking up his pace he winked at Ophelia maddeningly "Why you were laughing Devereux girl." he called to her, and was once again on point in the group.

"Watch it, kid." He muttered, taking out his wand again to light the path.

Andi nudged Zach, and shook her head. "We won't get anywhere if you two start fighting."

Micah beamed at Zach, although it was rather a nasty smile. "The spirit of companionship wins out!" he exclaimed and turned front again "Excellent summary, Andi." he responded.
The forest was increasingly dark, the trees evermore looking like phantoms in the mist. He caught Ophelia's eye then lost it looking back ahead, in actuality, through his cockiness, he was feeling a little ashamed to shock his comrades with the Niffler. It had not been his fault but still!

Ophelia made a face when his back was turned but smiled none the less. He had given the group quiet a scare but now it was much more light hearted,

Zach sighed and continued walking, alert.

Micah glanced behind him and couldn't resist continuing to rib Zach "What's wrong Sir Antsy? Afraid some Pigmy Puffs will attack?" he mocked in his customary mildness and polite manner. His eyes were sharp.

Micah stopped as well and looked ahead narrowing his eyes in the boggy land ahead. He held up his wand the light glowing brighter and he succinctly stepped back his voice even "Why that is bothering." he said lightly and turned around, his face pale. "Do you hear that Ophelia?" he asked raising a eyebrow.

Micah smiled grimly and walked forwards a little cocking his head towards the southeast. A marshy smell em,anted from there and the sound came again. He grimaced and looked at Ophelia "They've got a marsh ghoul." he said quietly.

Ophelia cocked her head questioningly. " The big deal?" she asked walking forward

Micah grimaced and looked at her "Marsh ghoul. Gloomy, sort of thing, quite dangerous sometimes." he replied pleasantly and glanced at her hand "Wands might be needed," he smiled blandly and then for a split second it changed into a reassuring look.
"Be careful Devereux girl." he whispered to her in comfort and turned back the moment gone as suddenly as it had come.

Ophelia smiled. " Aren't I always" before Micah knew it she disappeared into the undergrowth. The dark shadows seemed to swallow her up as she advanced. Light from her wand lit her way but soon the darkness of the forest seemed to put a damper on it. The transfer student soon came apon the marsh and looked around in the murky swampland. Hearing an odd sound to her left and turned sharply...

Micah cursed and darted after her, uncut hair flying from his neck in a black tide he turned sharply to avoid a clutter of thorns only one cutting a slender line on his neck, a narrow miss from the artery, he ignored it and arrived at Ophelia's side, she wasa looking fear evident on her delicate features at him. "It's me," he muttered, "What on earth were you doing Devereux?" he asked her sharply.
Response was delayed and a bright light bobbed ahead and he squinted his eyes widening and his heart jumped, a greeny, giant, ghoul was ahead of them, thick and grotesque. He pushed Ophelia behind him without a second thought and held his wand aloft, ready to Stun.
