Jake bit his lip when she hugged him but still hugged her back. "How do you know?" He whispered.
Still in his arms she said, "I just know. A feeling."
She pulled away from him, "It's the truth."
Jake smiled. "Mel, just want you to know you are something special. Okay. Don't forget it. Don't let Becca hurt you and don't get to hung up on john I think you should stay out of be as way for a bit." He said. "She seems really mad I have seen her around."
Melania smiled, "Thanks, right backatcha. Yeah, she is mad at me."
"Yeah, hey Mel I was wondering. Do you remember anything from before?"
"What do you remember?" He asked. "Just wondering."
"Tell me what you are going to say." She ordered.
"What do you mean?" He asked pretending to be stupid.
"Don't play stupid! Tell me!" Melania ordered more firmly.
"I'm wasn't going to say anything Mel." He said. "Just tell me what you remember."
"You, John, Becca cheating with John on me. Crying...crying a bunch. You comforting me." She said, "Now spill."
"What do you mean Mel. What do you want me to spill?" He asked forgetting about earlier to focused on how she remembered him.
"Why did you want me to say it?" Melania asked.
"I just wanted to see what you remembered." He said and shrugged. 'Haha jake funny, you just wanted to see if she remembered you. Why couldn't you just tell her that, you scared?' Was what he was thing. 'Shutup.' He told himself in his mind.
"What?" He asked. "Are you laughing at me?"
"Nope, laughing at what you just said." Melania gasped at what she just divulged.
"How was what I said funny?" He asked. "All I said was I just wanted to see what you remembered."
Melania sighed, maybe she didn't blow it. "I just have the giggles."
"But you just said that? Mel what's going on?" He asked.
"I can read minds and say things into people's minds. Only John knows, and now you." Melania said looking away.
Jake mentally face palmed. 'Great job jake.' He thought. 'Uhh she can still hear you, stop thinking, how do you expect me to stop thinking?' "Awkward." Was all he said
Melania tried not to laugh, "I can only read it when I try an want to. I am not reading you mind right now. I don't do it often, only if someone is not telling me something," she raised her eyes inferring their situation, "and of I think someone is hurt."
"How did you know I wasn't telling you?" He asked.
"Mel it seems as if you know everything." He said.
"Believe me, I don't!" Melania said with a smile.
"Fine, you know almost everything." He said. 'I wish you knew everything. But you don't so i feel really embarrassed to tell you.' He thought.
"Is something else bugging you?" Melania asked.
"No." He said. "I'm fine nothing else."
Melania raised one eye brow. "What?"
"What?" He asked. 'Ugh did She hear me.' He thought. 'I think she heard me but I don't want to say it she's not my girlfriend and if I say it things may be awkward.'
"Tell me. I am not reading your mind."
"I don't want to." He said. "It's not a big deal, it's just what I think about you okay?"
"You can't say that and not expect me to ask. What?" Mel asked.
"Mel." He said "I really don't want to say. It's not anything bad." 'Mel if you are trying to read my mind to see what I think it might be easier to tell you up here but it is still hard. You just ugh I don't know. Please don't make me tell you.' He thought hoping she was listening.
"I am not going to read your mind, tell me." Man up, she thought to herself.
"For Christs sake, just tell me." Melania was irritated at him now.
"Jake..." He held out his name as she said it.
"Jake..." She held out his name even longer, not giving up.
The nice approach wasn't working, so she had to try it meanly. "Jake, man up and tell me!" She yelled.
"I can't." He said "you could consider it not staying true to my girlfriend. I already broke that once."
