Gen laughed suddenly and muttered just loud enough for him to hear "Now that's a new one..." in a low voice.

A muscular female centaur with flowing red hair burst from the underbrush and the tall trunks "Stand where you be humans, why are you here?" asked she a scowl on her aquiline features making her look quite fearsome.

Eriq narrowed his eyes but didnt move. Not for her sake but for his. The disagreeable youth resisted the urge to glare back at the centaur or worse snap back. Eriq wasn't stupid he knew either of those actions could get him killed.

Jordan walked over behind Eriq and Gen and looked at the centaur.

"Ah Aurian, pleasure to see you again," the Headmistress said smoothly to the much taller centaur "Elize." she replied coldly "You are in peril here as you know, why do you choose to come with two half-grown children?" her tone was contemptuous and Gen bristled but kept silent as, she hoped Eriq would as well.

Eriq by now was biting his tongue to keep silent, the spoiled third year wasn't used to being looked down on. His fists clenched at his sides as he looked up at the centuar.

Gen glanced over under her hair to Eriq and relaxed, he'd learned some self-control, she reflected and looked back up to study the so-called Aurian. She had dark blue eyes and rippling red hair down her muscled back with very thin fingers and ears laid back onto her head

Elize smiled transparently "I'm sorrowed by the fact they have kept their grudge now Aurian, we are here to consult with, ah," she paused and the she-centaur burst in "The traitor!" the young woman nodded serenely "Firenze yes. Will you bring us to him?"

Eriq shifted ever so slightly and caused a stick to crack he winced and stood still for a moment. He really didnt want to see the Professor but he didnt really have a choice in the matter. (( sorry Internet issues))

The centaur crossed her arms and tapped them against her collarbone until she finally spoke "Fine." she said shortly, looking grumpy "Follow me and tell your charges to hurry their puny feet along." she ordered.

Eriq tasted blood as he bit down hader as not to remark on her hooves. He nearly decided to drag his feet slowly out of spite but thought better of it when Aurian turned around amd glared at him. The look she gave him clealy said if he didnt hurry up right then, shed give him a reason to run.

Gen read from his mind unconsciously and laughed picking up her feet and strides short but fast she whizzed through the forest.
The young headmistress looked behind her "Stay silent and keep wary<" she instructed them "Many of the centaurs...." she broke off "Do not hold me in high regard, I er, was involved in the banishment of one of their kind." she said quietly eyes downcast "Do not speak of that for we are in peril even here."

Eriq hurried forward surprisingly quiet. The pale third year couldn't help but feel apprehensive as they walked into a deeper part of the forest. He gripped his wand tightly and continued forward

Gen saw a phantom shape in the mist and stopped dead a split second before the Headmistress, and Aurian the powerful centaur who turned her head and fixed them with a gaze "Tell your wards to remain silent." "As I have." stated Elize temper fraying "Very well. Traitor!" she called sharply snapping her head front.
"Boy they sure have a high opinion of him don't they?" muttered Gen to Eriq, trying her luck talking.

Eriq raised his eyebrows in response a smirk playing across his lips. He watched warily as shadows streaked by in the distance. " It must. Be the highest honor " he replied sarcastically through the corner of his mouth.

Gen stifled a chuckle and watched as the older centaur picked his hooves into the grove to face them, hoof-print scar as clear as ever on his chest "Elize, why have you so interrupted the negotiations of my people?" he said lightly eyes flicking past her to Eriq and Gen suddenly had the feeling that the headmistress was risking more than she let on.

Eriq stiffened under the gaze. Something about the centaur made him un easy. He glanced at Gen, before back at the scar and then right into Aurians eyes.

Aurian stared right back into his and they grew calculating, quickly she turned her head in the same snapping motion and murmured something to another, almost invisible Italian-looking centaur on her right.

"Well Firenze, young Mr. Belliare here," she indicated unnecessarily the object of her speech "Had a very bad time of dreaming and I thought you as Divination teacher." she gave a Gallic shrug

Eriq flinched surprisingly violently at the loud tone. " I was in the Room of Requirement, I had been running from a mob of students, it was filled with mirrors. My reflections transformed into worse versions of me,, and, and they came alive. They started to attack me at the same time as the students got in. A disembodied voice kept telling me I was evil and to join him. And then it slowly went dark, and it became cold, so cold..." he trailed off " They always end like that, the dreams. With the voice and the cold darkness. This isn't the first dream like that" the boys eyes seemed almost glazed over as he retold his experience.

The Headmistress-Elize resisted the urge to shudder, poor boy, Gen was feeling the same way and Firenze was unflappable but his piercing blue eyes were sympathetic "Thank you for telling me Eriq," he said in a measured tone "I will have to suspend a judgement until I may think of it," turning he muttered something to the Headmistress who was visibly unseated and with a nod to Aurian trotted off.
The centaur in question hurrumphed.

Eriq felt like punching something. He'd been dragged halfway through the forest, ridiculed, and this was what happened. He glared at Aurian.

Aurian snapped her thin fingers swiftly and two bowman came out of the trees glowering "I would suggest insolent foal, that you revoke that glare." she ordered sharply and nodded. The bows tightened....

Eriqs eyes widened. He shifted slightly and his hands tightened but his eyes never left Aurians

Gen looked over in stunned alarm "You ruddy idiot!" she exclaimed glaring at him with angry eyes "Give in will you?" she asked though her tone was too peeved for a question.
Elize cleared her throat "Aurian we can come to a resolution here I know it," she said in a placating tone casting a anxious glance towards Eriq

Eriq was hardly aware if what he was doing, he was furious, and confused. Not to mention, exhausted and on edge.

Gen looked at the headmistress apologetically then hauled off and slugged Eriq hard enough to send him slumping to the ground, she hoped unconscious.
"bloody heck," she murmured and looked back up to the enraged centaurs "So sorry...headmistress should we be going?" she asked nonchalantly while internally kicking herself.
The head nodded and with a polite nod to Aurian and the rest both woman swiftly tripped through the forest one whispering "Locamotor Mortis."
When they reached a clearing she turned to Gen "Sorry to say it Miss Eaglestone," she said wearily "But perhaps that was not too tactful," Gen nodded shamefaced and then Eriq woke up.

Eriq woke up in extreme pain. He pinched his nose where blood came pouring out. He had a busted lip from falling to the ground and a black eye. " Bwoody heck Genivueve! I fink you broke by dose!" he cried thickly.

The headmistress kept a straight face and glanced across at Gen who was struggling to retain control of her features, "Um, I'm sorry? but well you were going to get us all skewered by irate centaurs," she said matter-of-factly than fell over laughing hands on her knees gasping "I'm, sorry, sorry"

The Headmistress knelt down before Gen could say something which would probably encourage Eriq to do just that
"Listen Eriq," she said sternly "I do sympathize with you and understand your temperament but it was possibly fortuitous even though it was not displayed in the kindest fashion for Miss Eaglestone to, ah," she searched through her mind for a word "Defuse the situation." her eyes looked down at Eriq "Now any broken bones?" she asked all business now prodding Eriq's face.

Jordan walked around the Forbidden Forest. She loved coming in here because she loved looking at the spooky stuff in the Forbidden forest.

Eriq narrowed his eyes, " No! You Combe wit me up to da hothpital wing, and expwain why aim in dis thate!" (( translation No you come with me to the hospital wing and explain why Im in this state!)) Eriq wasn't normally one to agree to go to the hospital but his face did hurt quite a bit.
