Elle smiled and nodded, she had had to rescan several lessons to grasp the gist of them all over again. "Herbology is awfully difficult, I still have no idea what half of it is talking about. Professor Weyd assigned our class this extra research paper on top of studying. Rude," she said as she wrote, eyes on her book again.
"I'm Elle, a Ravenclaw. I think we must have some classes together or maybe even just one but I swear we've met before," she shrugged again.
"I'm Elle, a Ravenclaw. I think we must have some classes together or maybe even just one but I swear we've met before," she shrugged again.

Hearing her words, Annie blinked in surprise, "I don't know for sure. I've been up and around the school, with no regards to the other students. O.W.L.S. are completely taking a lot from me."
She smiled apologetically at Elle. Her mind was pretty much scattered and sometimes she forgot to eat and take care of herself. Good thing, her friends were always there to support and remind her at times.
Elle laughed politely at Annie's words, nodding in agreement. She could tell that the other girl wanted to get back to her studies, and she did too. "I agree. So much to do, so little time," she said, her words trailing off into nothing.
As much as she wanted to continue studying, as much as she needed to continue studying, she could barely keep her eyes from closing. Talking with Annie woke her up a little. On the other hand, if she wasn't going to study, she might as well go and sleep.

This question had been at the forefront of her mind for months now and relaying it to a stranger, is a relief to her bumbling worries.
"Not to distract you but what we're not at Hogwarts right now?" She added in a small voice.
((Hey Johanna-- before I continue, what do you mean by "Not to distract you but what we're not at Hogwarts right now?" I'm just confused and tired hahaha))

Sorry forgot to put the 'if' there))
((I see! Sorry about that, I understand now aha))
Elle nodded in agreement as Annie spoke. That pretty much summed up her daily routine of late, and she shook her head, overwhelmed. She ran a hair through her wavy hair, and took off her glasses, shining them on her sweater, then put them back on.
At Annie's odd question, Elle stopped writing and set down her quill slowly. "What if? Are you proposing we leave? Or just imagining what our lives would be like without this stress?"

Hufflepuffs weren't supposed to get depressed but here she was. Elle seems to be holding up just fine with the monotonous life. Annie was still making the sense of it though, that's why she was like this.
Pushing her blonde back and shifting in her seat, she pondered at her situation. Studies momentarily forgotten.
Elle was a little puzzled at Annie's reply, but she credited the oddity to nerves, anxiety and stress. She just kind of smiled awkwardly and returned to her paper, and she wrote in silence for a while, Annie sitting with her arms folded staring blankly.
She had no idea what she should say, or if she should say anything at all.
She had no idea what she should say, or if she should say anything at all.

Annie pointed at the parchments at Elle's side. If a professor wanted her to write an essay, she was determined to not go above the stated restrictions but seeing that Elle was looking a bit haggard, she said, "You're about to fall off of your chair. Would you like to take a breather with me?"
Her previous behavior lightened up back to her bubbly attitude. She hoped Elle would say yes. The can go to the kitchens or something.

Jae took his phone out of his pocket and found his Green Day "Revolution Radio" album and hit play. His phone went back into his pocket and he continued to head towards the end of the library, his guitar case slung over his back. There was an uneasy silence in the library at this time of day, and any sane person would stay away from the emptiness of the book filled room, but it never bothered Jae. His favourite chair awaited him in the far left corner on top of an old rug. A deep purple bean bag. Soft from age, but firm with the new foam balls filling. Jae, unaware of how loud he was being, dropped his bag on the floor and placed his case gently against the wall. He was just about to sit down when he tripped. He tripped over air and landed on his butt, headphones now sitting around his neck and out of place. Out of nowhere, a shadow passed over him. He looked up, just slightly, and saw someone. A girl.

Jae didn't understand how it happened or what made him do this, but in the next second the words were out of his mouth.
"My mom used to teach Transfiguration before she met my dad."

As soon as the girl left, he forced himself to go back to the dorms. Once he was back, he set his stuff down, grabbed his bag and his Charms textbook. He planned to skip class again this afternoon, and it made sense to study the material over lunch.
The dining hall was nearly empty when he arrived but it didn't bother him. He chose the end of the Slytherin table, closest to the headmaster's chair and sat down. For the next hour is eyes followed the information across the page, while his hand, scribbled away furiously. By the time the hour was up, it was the regular lunchtime and students were filling the hall extremely fast. Jae started to pack up when he felt a tap on his shoulder.
"JJ she took my wand.." Jae turned around to find his little cousin whispering behind him.
"Sila, what happened?" He asked gently, picking her up and setting her on the bench.
"A girl in my Potions class.." Sila whispered. Sila was the youngest in her year, as Jae had made a special request for her to join this year instead of next year. Sila was the only 10-year-old in her year.
"Who?" Jae started serving his cousin her lunch from the buffet.
"A girl in Gryffindor, I don't know her name." By now, Sila had already dug into the delicious feast.
"Okay Sila, I will go talk to your professor." Sila just nodded and gave him a quick hug before he left.
It didn't take him long to head up to the Potions Classroom with Sila's professor inside.
"Sir?" Jae asked from the doorway.
"Yes, Mr Hiller?"
"My cousin, Sila, just had a class with you, and someone took her wand. Is it possible you could try and keep the students in this class in a safe environment?" Jae sounded most like his mother when he was upset. He wouldn't yell and he wouldn't act out. But he did get sarcastic and a petty.
"Mr Hiller, that is no way to speak to a professor."
"Pardon me," Jae rolled his eyes. "Could you make sure my cousin is not being tormented by the kids in her class. It would be deeply appreciated."
"Yes, Mr Hiller, I will look out for her during my lessons."
"One other thing Professor."
"Yes?"
"Get her wand back, she will need it during her next class."
"Alright, Mr Hiller."
It was 2 in the afternoon when Jae came back to the library, and that girl was there too. She looked really tired as if she hadn't slept. He ignored her until he realised she was in HIS seat. The bean bag. It was his favourite spot, he didn't like any other part of the room, and she saw him sitting there last time. He did the bravest thing he could think of.
"Um.. excuse me, that's my seat.."

"Is it.. um.. possible you could.. move seats.." He asked. The girl was so scary, not by how she looked or what she wore, but because her eyes were so cold and her words were sharp. Jae waited.

Jae heard her say "What did you say?".
He had said "please". He was not begging or pleading, but he said a short and sharp "please". After requesting for his seat, his mother's voice popped into his head, reminding him that he needed to be polite.
"Please, could I have that seat, I normally sit there." This girl was starting to be a bit irritating. She seemed mad at him, and they hadn't even met!
((sorry for the delay. Life sucks))
Bethany walked into the Library with the same air as a Cheetah scanning for its next meal. From the leanness of her body to the sharp tips of her claw-like nails, to the superior glint in her eyes, Bethany bore the same pride and regality of an apex predator feline.
The clicking of her heels upon the stone floor of the castle was like a beacon of her presence. The flickering light of the torches danced off the silver pendant she wore, along with the green jewel falling from the serpent's mouth. If that were not enough, her emerald green robe seemed made of silk rather than the standard material and flowed out behind her like a liquid shadow.
Bethany didn't even glance at the cowering first years who quickly ducked out of her way. They were hardly worthy of note in her eyes. She instead made her way to the dark arts section of the library and traced her finger along the spines, her eyes scanning for anything of significance. Of course, it was pointless. Anything containing knowledge of value would be locked away in the restricted section. And she'd require a specific book title if she were to forge a note, they wouldn't every well let her peruse some of the most dangerous texts in the world.
So, slightly frustrated, Bethany turned to make her leave. That was when she spied a looming, obviously cramped, figure of someone sitting in a chair much too small for them. How had she not noticed someone so giant before? If Bethany had to guess, she'd even venture the student WAS part giant. Something that could prove very useful. So, a smug and superior smirk upon her lips, Bethany strode over to the boy.
"I do believe that using a simple engorgio charm would fix the problem you appear to be having with that chair," Bethany spoke cooly, stopping in front of him and crossing her arms against her chest.

Bethany couldn't help but smirk in a cruel form of pride that she had made the boy so flustered and clumsy. It was a talent she'd always had yet it never failed to make her little serpent heart swell. How could someone not feel proud or powerful to know their mere presence sent others cowering and tripping over themselves?
"So you're an exchange student I take it?" Bethany posed, her eyes taking in every clue as to where he might be from.
The language was definitely either Russian or Hungarian. And the military-like posture would definitely be common at Durmstrang from what she'd read about the far off school. But there was still the matter of his giant stature. It was slightly off-human. Not like Hagrid who just was a giant man. This stranger's skin was paler than a human and his ears stuck out like cauliflower stocks growing out of his head. It was certainly not a stature one was used to seeing.
"There's no need to apologize for poor English. I imagine knowing a foreign language is more of a strength than anything else." Bethany said cooly, pulling out her wand and casting an enlarging charm on the chair the boy had formerly been seated in. "I am Bethany Roth. Sixth year, Slytherin." She introduced, a slightly bored tone to her voice while her eyes still seemed fascinated with the stranger. Her mind worked out all the potential ways he could be of use to her.

((I'm so sorry for my absence! Life has been ridiculous because of everything that's happening. My school shut down the day I was going to reply and four days later I was sped moved out of my dorm in like 24 hours and it hasn't slowed down since.))
Bethany smirked a bit and nodded at Ford's introduction, holding out her hand palm down to him. It was obvious her upbringing of privilege had also instilled certain old and formal mannerisms into the young lady.
"A pleasure, Ford." She replied cooly. "Do not worry about the furniture. So long as it is put back in its original form when you are finished."
Bethany gracefully sat down in a chair, her movements smooth and slow, almost as if she were falling into it with the weight of a feather. Her ankles crossed in the same movement that she sat and she smirked, her chin resting on the top of her knit hands as she examined Ford.
"So, Herr Griffinstone" She began, knowing a few words in german from one nanny she had had many years ago. "What brought you to Hogwarts all the way from the cold, icy landscapes of Durmstrang? Not many transfer students find themselves to this castle. Though more have arrived this year than I ever expected."

Bethany smirked a bit and nodded before responding softly with a simple, "I see. Well, I hope that those problems didn't follow you here."
Glancing at the clock, Bethany sighed softly before rising once more to her feet. She had potions soon and she doubted Slughorn would be that forgiving, even for her.
"I must be off. If you ever need anything, simply come to me. I'm not hard to find once you look for me," She told him with a smirk.
And with a turn of her heel and a swish of her hair, Bethany was walking away, the only sound made by her was the faint clicking of her heels on the stone floors.
((I'm so sorry to cut it short. Classes are beginning and I didn't want to leave you hanging again so I thought best to bring it to an end.))

He too looked up from his book. He noticed that it was getting late. He got up with his book in hand when he heard the sound of someone tripping over one of the chairs. He looked towards where the sound was coming from and saw the Via. He chuckled. " Might wanna keep it down a bit " he whispered

She find the girl's answer oddly refreshing. It has been days that anyone was willing to hold his or her own against herself.
The girl was somehow familiar but she couldn't place where she had seen her.
"I'm Annie by the way. Hufflepuff."
