Lenore | 14 comments This listing is weird (has "Julie" prepended to the title) and might need to be merged with the other "His Dark Materials" record). However, the author is not Philip Pullman.

1439548048 (isbn13: 9781439548042) http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/39...

Thanks for looking into this.

Anna (lilfox) | 91 comments Books by Jean Craighead George are:
- Julie of the Wolves
- Julie
- My side of the mountain.

I don't even know how to correct it cause I'm not an American. I had heard about His Dark Materials, but not about Jean Craighead George.

Lenore | 14 comments So far I haven't found any good confirmation that this book exists as listed. There are listings on Amazon.com and Books-a-million for this book with this ISBN, but Jean Craighead George's official web site has no mention of this book as a work of hers.

Neither does Wendell Minor's , even though she's listed on the Amazon page for this book.

The U.S. Library of Congress has no listing for either ISBN.

It's not my place to make the call, but it seems to me that this is a spurious listing for a book that doesn't exist.

Carolyn (seeford) | 573 comments WorldCat pulls this book up with the wrong title as well, but validates the ISBN. Pulls up a cover with the title Julie.

The author's site lists the title Julie as being the sequel to Julie of the Wolves which the cover image on WorldCat confirms.

Looks like the title needs to be cleaned up, and I uploaded the cover image from WorldCat to the GR listing. Should be fine now, and combined with other editions of Julie.

Carolyn (seeford) | 573 comments Lenore, two good sites to check ISBNs against are WorldCat (can move the link under the book to where Amazon, etc. are) and GoogleBooks.

I never check against Amazon, because usually the errors are coming from them, but B&N sometimes has different info in a listing and can be helpful...

Lenore | 14 comments Thanks, Carolyn. i made note of WorldCat from your post above and I'll add GoogleBooks as well.

I appreciate you sharing your experience!

Hi Carolyn,
I just happened across this post and was wondering if you could tell me how to upload the cover pics from WorldCat? I've been wanting to learn how to do that, to upload them in general and just haven't yet. Is it something that's fairly easy to give directions on? I'd really appreciate the help!

Carolyn (seeford) | 573 comments In order to upload any cover into GR, you need to save the image into your pc/mac (make sure you name it something you'll recognize and be able to find again).
Then on the edit page for the book there is a BROWSE button on the upper right side to upload a cover image.
Click on that, locate and select the cover image you just saved, and click on UPLOAD PHOTO. GR does the rest.

This works on covers that you scan in and have on your computer as well.

I delete them from my drive after I've uploaded them, so as not to clutter my computer unnecessarily, but otherwise, you're done.

HTH!
