I need to see Percy Jackson and the Sea of monsters!! I can't believe it has taken them like 4 years to make this movie. I am willing to do a sit in at the movie place just to see it when it comes out.

I still need to see the first one. It took 4 yrs?! Isn't he supposed to be 13 in book two haha
He is! My sister just sarted the book. (I am waiting for her to finish so I can read it) And the deal was she cant see the movie until she finishes the first and second book. But no one ever said anything about me going :)

If they keep going at this rate with the movies in the series the actor is going to be 50 for the final movie. The 2nd book was on of my favorites so they better not mess it up!
I think they waited so long because of how the first movie sort of didn't do so well in theaters.

Haha same! c: It was nice seeing Jean again, though I'm still pretty bummed out they killed her off. The Phoenix has so much potential and story line other than time bomb

The first movie was such a disappointing flop :(

I wasn't super in love with it the first time I saw it, but I liked it more after I read the book and watched it again. It's not perfect, but it was good.
so... should I finish reading City of Bones before the movie comes out or see the movie first?

They haven't said a release date for TFIOS except that it's also supposed to come out 2014!
I TOTALLY DID NOT REALIZE THE 9TH DOCTOR WAS GOING TO BE IN THOR 2!!!! Oh my goodness I just about squealed at work when I looked it up on IMDB.com. Thank you for the info!! What did you think of the 12th Doctor reveal?

It seemed so cheesy and eh...I don't know. There was no real grasp of what it's about. I hope they don't do a horrible job with the movie and it was just a bad trailer. i really liked the first book.
Sea of Monsters was incredibly disappointing. They cut out some very cool parts...it was nothing like the book :/ The only thing I actually enjoyed was how Giles from Buffy is the new Chiron.

I need to watch it still. I had hopes that it would do better than the first did, but it seemed to flop as well :(

I'm not sure how I feel about the trailer. I like that it's funny, but I think the book was a little darker tone so I'm not sure if they're just using humor to hook the people who haven't read the books.

I've only read the first book and from what I've heard it's a lot lighter than the others. I honestly don't see this going past a one movie deal though. Not many book series are getting that opportunity because of the predecessors. :/
