Jon Lang (jongraylang) | 9 comments As a little one, the Red Cap always stuck out.
As I got older, the minotaur and the centaur really grabbed me.
NOwadays my favorites would be the trickster gods, Prometheus, Loki, Coyote.

J. A. | 1 comments For me, it was the Tingler. The severed hand that crawled silently through the night with murderous intent: searching for an unwary windpipe it could pinch shut, with its steely, vise-like grip.

I'll lead off with that old Irish favorite, the Banshee."

I love the Germanic ulfhéðnar, warriors who channel the wolf spirit to become ferocious in battle. Úlfhéðnar terrified everybody, even the most courageous fighters. They were fearless and battled with frenzied abandon—howling, frothing, and biting their shields like rabid animals. They were similar to the better-known Viking berserkers who associated with bears and wore their pelts into battle. They were the elite warriors of there time, and I compare them to today's Delta Force or Navy Seal soldiers. https://catherinespader.com/the-beast...
