Leigh Bardugo said that she'll be revealing the Darkling's real name in R&R!!?!?!? Plus we will also get a glimpse of his past.... OMFG!! i srsly cannot waitttt! Can it be June 17th already? i think that the Darkling is actually Ilya Morozova..(is that insane??) Like Alina said, he can't just find out about the 3 amplifiers just by reading a children's book.. Maybe he's the one that created the amplifiers for Alina.

I liked the Darkling in S&B, but once he came out as evil I despised him. I like Mal, but he kind of annoys me in that he isn't really happy with Alina's power and strength. In S&S, when he wouldn't wait for her explanation as to why she flinched when he kissed her, I wanted to throw a shoe at him. Now, I'm jumping ships from Malina to Nikolina all the way. Sure he's cocky, but I love Nikolai's sense of humor and quick wit.

And as for him being the Darkling's cousin(like what) yeah that was something i did not expect. I really thought the Darkling was Ilya Morozova but i suppose i wasn't that off with him being Ilya Morozova's grandchild! But his death scene was beautiful even though i hated the fact that he had to die! (view spoiler)[In my perfect world: The darkling see's the error of his ways and is totally and completely redeemed and lives on in happiness. Alina totally ditches Mal (maybe he just stayes dead) and ends up with Nikolai. As Nikolai grows older, Alina stays young due to her powers (which she still has). When nikolai dies (T_T) Alina falls for the Darkling (again). Then we can have both.

Mal is stupid. He just wants Alina to himself. I'm on the Darkling's ship all the way. They were like made to be together. I feel like people overlook the goodness that the Darkling still has. Im sorry to say (SPOILER!!) Mal ends up with Alina which is a huge disappointment. If not the Darkling I would say Nikolai. He's cute and he has power. While I still partly want to root for him, the Darkling in completely hot, and my vote has always been for him!
