Natalie T Gideon isn't gay or bi. Eva asked him if he thought he was and he said no. I agree she did it so she was the last one there and to show him that there is nothing wrong with it. To not be ashamed.

Lisa Hi everyone. I've enjoyed your discussion. Mind if I ask everyone's opinion on something that baffles me?

Shannon Marshall cooper Natalie, I think that you are right. I think what makes there relationship so special is that they are both sexual abuse survivors that love sex. They both love sex, but are afraid of the intimacy of the act. I think they finally found there match in each other and are trying to create new memories through sexual acts that hindered their intimate relationship with others. I think that it just shows how much they trust each other. Prior to her doing the thing to him on the plane, he did something to her that she did not think she could do, so I think the whole plane scene in the book was a turning point in their relationship.

While I understood why Eva pushed G, I thought she went too far.

Natalie T Shannon, It was a bit scary when they got of the plane though. I thought she might have over done it. I was glad it was just over the proposal that he was distant.

Lisa ask away.

Thanks Natalie. I'm perplexed why some are saying Gideon and Eva are in a much more secure place yet she's still hot and bothered about Brett and wants to still be around him. Did my kindle delete pages and I missed that explanation?

Natalie T Lisa, no you didn't but Eva did say that she understood why Giedeon needed to be married to feel secured. When the thing happened with Corrine she didn't really question him because of being married to him and it takes more to break that bond. I don't like the Brett thing either. I thought we dealt with him in book 2. I think something else is going to happen there. Why else did she put it into the book.

Lisa Thank you for your thoughts. The whole Brett thing is obviously to stretch out the angst unfortunately. It's been interesting to see how different people look at Eva and her behavior in this book. :)

~IreneOust~ I find Brett thing is a true test for Eva ... I know she is in love with Gideon but Brett is purely physical attraction for her. Will see what happens in SD. What did Syliva say about book 4 release date? Anything yet? Approximate or otherwise?

Natalie T Sylivia Day did say on her facebook page that the third book was about Eva. How she deals with things but I didn't like how she was towards Brett. She was a strong person in the first book and I think she has gone down hill since. Why can't she tell Brett she is not interested and leave him alone.

Cyndi I'm not sure if them being married makes them more secure either. Eva won't tell anyone even though Gideon is wearing his ring in public. Also if the marriage makes Gideon feel secure why won't he tell her what is going on. He has to know that sneaking around with Deanna or Corrine will get back to Eva and it did. Deanna told Eva that Gideon was with Corinne the night of the video premiere and then Eva looked at Gideon's call log and saw the calls from and to Corinne, Deanna and I don't remember who else. I don't feel any less anxious for them even though they are married.

~IreneOust~ I need to re-read this soon. I devoured this first time around so I am sure I missed bits and pieces.

Lisa It sounds like if anything, being married is going to be more of a problem. With the amount of baggage these two have just wearing wedding rings definitely is not going to change the fact that their problems are still existing and secrets always find a way of coming out. I am completely baffled about Eva's feelings for Brett and just worry that book 4 will be dedicated to the Eva/Brett attraction and Gideon/Corrine/Deana/and any other women mess. Exhausting. :)

Natalie T Cyndi, being married does not make them more secure in the real world but in Gideon's world it does. Eva's says as much after the hospital incident. Instead of her running away when she found out about corrine and deanna she talked to Gideon instead. That is the difference. I think they will talk more now about what happens with one another instead of thinking the worse.

Natalie T I think there is to many people involved in this relationship. I would have liked some of it solved in this book, so we can get to the bottom of Gideon's abuse and Nathan. I don't think we need anything else. I hope the next 2 books solve all these questions other wise I am going to be disappointed.

Cyndi Natalie- I hope you are right. Lisa- I worry about the same things for book 4. Too much angst isn't enjoyable to me so I am hoping the Brett thing is no big deal and waiting for Gideon to catch a clue and completely cut Corinne loose- she has a husband and family she doesn't need an ex fiancé to fix her life.

Lisa I think because Sylvia has put once again Corrine in the story and Gideon's need to protect her, not to mention putting a spotlight on Eva's sexual attraction to Brett that it will be a big issue again in the next book. YAWN! If Sylvia is determined to do to more books I would love for her to actually focus more than two pages on Gideons issues and how he and Eva can finally work through everything. Just my two cents. :)

~IreneOust~ Poor Gideon ... he needs one of those by his front door:

Natalie T I like that Irene.
Sylivia did say that the next 2 books will be more about Gideon. The third book was suppose to be only about Eva's growth. I didn't see much of that though. Sylivia did say she needs more than half a book to tell Gideon's story.

Lisa I think you are right there. There is going to be more about Brett and Corinne. I am over them already.

Meredith I have no idea if anyone will answer this being that the last comment was 8 years ago, but I literally had to turn off the book because I was pissed that Corinne is pregnant. I don't want to believe it is Gideon's was this resolved later?

Natalie T Hi Meredith, i don't know who the father of the child was i stopped reading after the third book. I thought the books became fillers and should had finished as a triliogy not a 5 book series.

Later in the book Gideon speaks to Eva about the miscarriage - she asks if the baby was Giroux's and Gideon replies 'I would hope so, he seems to think it was his, and that I'm responsible for her losing it." He goes on to say "She HAD to be clueless. She couldn't risk a baby over something so stupid."
