HAHA Vicki that was the best line ever.

Yes, that is the right shocker, lol! And then it just got worse and a bit weirder!
Sorry guys I haven't started yet! I had some retail therapy today!! I promise to read double tomorrow! :)

Oh, I know! (view spoiler)
I absolutely LOVE Max! She has a mouth that won't quit, which isn't always so funny in real life. But I love it on her! She's so quick and witty!
I'm glad that there are little reviews/reminders of the plot and characters in book 1.
For me so far this book is every bit as much of a page-turner as the first one; however, if you girls saw my post in another group where I think you all are in, I am going through some really sad, serious, heart-breaking family issues right now. So if you see me on here and then not on again for a day or two it'll be due to that.
OMG I just had to comment on this too. (view spoiler) LOL Now I am REALLY curious to see how all of this comes to play and how Patterson brings it all together for us!!!
Yes - chapter 17 was scary!! I thought that was her curse too for a moment and I FLIPPED. This really sounds like an exact continuation of the first book - same plot, same everything. I feel like Patterson wrote #1 but it was way too long so he just split it in two. The first book had a not-so-solid ending, and this had a not-so-solid beginning.
I'm not complaining, per se, since its still the same fast and enjoyable read I loved before. But it's a little odd.

Thanks, Ally. :o)
I am done with today's reading, too. I am loving this book even though it is a "continuation" as Ally put it. No one mentioned what's actually happening thought! What about (view spoiler) I think this book is awesome! LOL
Vicki wrote: "OMG I just had to comment on this too. [spoilers removed] LOL Now I am REALLY curious to see how all of this comes to play and how Patterson brings it all together for us!!!"I was wondering about the number of bedrooms too... Awfully co-inky-dink....

Sorry guys I still haven't started yet, I'll either start tonight or tomorrow and I'll catch up!!! :)
Kathy wrote: "Sorry guys I still haven't started yet, I'll either start tonight or tomorrow and I'll catch up!!! :)"This is for FUN Kathy (and Vicki). I refused to be stressed out over my love of books. Relax and join us when you can. Not like we're going to delete the thread!
I don't ever want to stop loving reading and I don't want anyone else to either, so do what you can when you can. WE all have lives to live outside of our obsession!
And, we can't all be Trisha's and Gis's who read like lightening! LOL :-) I'm a bit jealous if you can't tell!

I'm a LOT jealous! LOL Sometimes I'll be reading and look at the page to see where I am and I'll think, "That's all." Then I wonder HOW does someone like Trisha do it? How CAN someone read that fast?" I have taken speed reading classes and I can read faster, but I feel like I lose some of the joy of soaking it in. I look at larger clumps of words like they tell you to do, but I don't always know what's there when I do that so reread. Trisha is just very blessed to have that ability to read so fast. Yes, I am VERY jealous!

I agree, if i try to read even faster I feel like I'm missing something important and often end up going back over a certain section. So I just need to slow down and do what I can do, and not try to be super reader, even tho it would be cool to put away 300 books a year, lol!
Hahah this is such a funny conversation. You all are so silly! Read to enjoy it! That's all there is :) I'm at Chapter 115. I don't really have anything specific to say but I'm still really enjoying the story line!! Although Ari is creeping me out... poor child is so messed up.
Yup! I really pity Ari - who knows what we'd have been like in his position (view spoiler)I have something to ask though (view spoiler)

I agree, he is CREEPY!!

Yes I think it as just a false lead, Sami. But I'm impressed you remembered that!
I only have time to stick with the schedule. I had read all of it except for 10 pages today by 9:30 this morning, but JUST now finished the last 10 pages. I think Anne is (view spoiler)

You have a better memory than I do! LOL

I agree Vicki. At first I thought she was working with the school... but now I think she's using the kids to maybe catch the ppl at the school? it was all very fishy that (view spoiler)
Ok, in my print book, I'll be reading part 4 today, per the schedule, takes me to page 277. :-)Interesting how different the page numbers are from your Nook Vicki! !!
Happy Reading!

Haha, I picked up on that too.

I know and it is so deceptive because I think a book is "only 225 pages" but I find out the print is 380. No wonder it takes me so long to read them! LOL They aren't what they seem.
Lol don't you hate that! And then sometimes a page on my NOOK is as long as 4 pages per "page." Go figure! Lol I know it has VERY RARELY been page per page. I get all excited when each page is only two on my NOOK.
Oh, also- I finished this last night! I really don't have anything to say, though. I enjoyed it! But there wasn't really anything for me to comment about other than (view spoiler)
Ally wrote: "Oh, also- I finished this last night! I really don't have anything to say, though. I enjoyed it! But there wasn't really anything for me to comment about other than [spoilers removed]"I'm glad about that too!! And also yes, this one was just as awesome as the previous one.
I only got a few chapters in. It was a super busy day! We'll just press on Tomorrow Vicki!!! And my copy has 409 pages, lololol!!!!
Lol that's too funny!!! We had a man come out today to give us an estimate on our roof because we need to get a new one and he is a third person to come out and all three of them spent three hours and one person more than three hours but two thirds of that time, if not more, was just chitchatting!!!
And you know we are dealing with some family issues so today I ended up spending a total of about three hours on the phone to one of my my sons and one of my daughters. And I talked on the phone with my brother in law which was another 15 minutes or so.
And we had a phone call from a refinancing company because we're looking into that.
And my husband and I went to lunch before he went to work because it is our anniversary. We were going to take three days and go to Bass Lake but our electric company is going to be working in our neighborhood and so we need to basically be home to watch our things from nine to 3 o'clock that day.
Lol I'm not sure why I'm telling you all this but I think it is to help you girls understand that I really am not putting things off on my buddy reads but I really don't have time. It's funny because I thought for sure I was going to get to read a whole lot today but I haven't even read more than two pages! :(
So yes, Becky, I will shoot for tomorrow! LOL
We love you Vicki! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with a crazy life and that was one major day for you.I hope your family stuff smooths itself out hon.
I'm hoping to catch up on all my reading this evening - it's a kid activity free evening that I know of, yay!
I still haven't started and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to it before you guys are done with it. But go ahead and set up the thread for the next book when you guys are done and I'll join you on that one for sure!! :)
