I have read it in English and Spanish. A beautiful book. I would recommend it to anybody.

I've read it in English... and am about to read it in French
English and felt like it dragged on.

Read it in both, French and English ... loved it in both the languages :)
italian and french.. strangly never in English ( and I'm American!). It is a great book to read when you are trying to learn a new language since we all know the story so well!
First, several times in Spanish and once in English. Then I learned French and read it in French. I fell in love with that version forever. A couple of years ago, I tried it in German, because I was learning it (or trying).Ruby wrote: "... there is one particular French word "apprivoiser" which I don't think can ever be translated into any other language... I fully agree, "apprivoiser" cannot possibly be translated with its full sense to any other language and, silly as it seems, that ruins any translation for me. Words like "domesticar", "tame" or "zahmen" don't suffice; "apprivoiser" is not only to tame, as the fox explains to the prince. It comes from the Latin word apprivatiare, to familiarize. Probably the Spanish "domesticar" is the closest, because it is a word that applies to pets, where feelings grow between pet and owner, but still it's not all that's implied by "apprivoiser".

I read it in english, french and spanish. I loved it in all three, but they are all a bit different. I agree that the french version has a little more and it feels… almost more original and fluid. But the interesting thing with this book, is that you get something a little different with each language. Maybe, because I feel different in each language. I find language is more than communication, there is a a soul like presence with each language. I speak four languages and my voice is different in each. When I write poetry, the language determines the topic a write about. This is a magic little book, a grand classic of world literature.
English, It is a beautifully well written book that should be shared with children and adults.
Read both. French is highly superior.
I've loved it in French and liked it in English; if you can read French it would be best to read it in that language, for the reasons everyone has pointed out. And I love the 1954 Gerard Philippe record or audio version, too (even though it's abridged, the voices of the different actors for the different characters, especially le petit prince and le renard, are spot on and charming). All the French vocabulary words I had to learn ruined my enjoyment of the story in French :-)
No, my French is not good enough. I read it originally in Esperanto (http://i-espero.info/files/elibroj/eo...) , and enjoyed it immensely. Then I read it in my native English. Recently I watched the British movie based on the book. My grandchildren have read it in English and Castilian Spanish.

I always prefer it's original language, I read it in french, it is a great book that is still as great as it was when it came out so many years ago.

I've read this book in french many years ago and actually re-read it recently, it's a classic
I read it in Slovak in order to practice my Slovak skills. I had read it first in English (native language). It's funny how you get a different feeling about it in a different language.
