It's becoming increasingly common for webcomics to run kickstarters to help fund print versions. They often offer some cool extras for backers as well.

Use this thread if you come across any you'd like to to share and/or discuss with the group. :)

*Please remember - this is for webcomic related kickstarters only. Thanks!*

Cool! I like Alex's stuff but hadn't noticed this. Thanks for pointing it out!

Here's an interesting one for Erfworld, which is in the process of trying to get/train a new artist: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1...

The Gutters is doing one to be able to continue with the comic (it had been operating at a substantial loss). Already funded for 1/week, but will add more updates if they reach their stretch goals.

Found a couple of interesting ones for webcomics I hadn't previously heard of:

This one for volume 2 of Decrypting Rita (volume 1 also available at one of the pledge levels). Looks to be a multi-dimension sci-fi story and has a really neat art style (revolving mono-chromatic).

And this one for Failed Oasis, self described as Fallout 3 meets The Breakfast Club.

Madeleine Holly-Rosing (mhollyrosing) | 152 comments Like steampunk? Ghosts? Tesla? Magnetic Monsters? BOSTON METAPHYSICAL SOCIETY Webcomic brings you all that and more. But we need your help to finish the last three issues in our six issue mini-series. Please support our Kickstarter.

If you don't know the story, it's about an ex-Pinkerton detective and his spirit photographer partner who battle supernatural forces in late 1800's Boston.

Think Victorian Ghostbusters.

You can view the Homepage here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/4...

Thanks for your support!

Best,

Madeleine

And don't forget about the one to fund the second half of Boston Metaphysical Society. (just 3 days left!)

Kelly Tindall (kellytindall) | 5 comments I'm running a Kickstarter to fund the print version of my all-ages pirate webcomic STRANGEBEARD, about a twelve-year-old girl who's become the world's deadliest pirate! Besides the physical book, there's also PDFs, original pages and artwork, and handmade tea-stained WANTED posters featuring you as a pirate!

Here is the comic:

There's a couple up for past wotm's:

This one for a Johnny Wander collection has about a week left (and is well beyond funded).

A rather interesting one here is for a German version of reMind. The printed reMind were of quite impressive production quality so an equivalent translation is a serious undertaking. It has 17 days left and is currently ~10% funded.

Myrjam Van de vijver | 7 comments Wormworld Saga is bringing out a book of it's first three chapters in English! There already is a German and French version of the book. I have been reading Daniel Lieske's story online for some time, and just love the story and the art. The art is very vivid and colorful, and he has a unique approach to the way he publishes it. It's an all-ages fantasy comic.

You can find the webcomic here: http://www.wormworldsaga.com/
and the kickstarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

I backed the kickstarter within 10minutes of getting the announcement email and am very excited about it!

Read chapter 1 and this webcomic looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

The Wormworld kickstarter ends in 6 days. BMS chapter 5 is in its last 48 hours. Both are funded (YAY!) but of course could use more support if anyone is interested/inclined.

Madeleine Holly-Rosing (mhollyrosing) | 152 comments Hi Everyone:

I’m happy to announce that the Boston Metaphysical Kickstarter to print Chapter 6 is now LIVE! Please help us complete the series.

For those of you not familiar with the story, it's about an ex-Pinkerton detective and his spirit photographer partner who battle supernatural forces in late 1800's Boston. Think "Steampunk X-Files."

Kickstarter Link: http://kck.st/1MeObLf

This time around we have an awesome Dirigible Lapel Pin, new fan art, and the Boston Metaphysical Society: Prelude anthology as part of the reward tiers along with print and pdf versions of Chapters 1-6. And the BMS Special Black Tea Blend Reward tier is also back by popular demand!!

We’ve also have some special stretch goals planned.

I hope you will support Boston Metaphysical Society Comic as we head down the home stretch to finish the six issue series.

Thank you!

Best,

Madeleine Holly-Rosing

Kelly Tindall (kellytindall) | 5 comments I'm almost finished the campaign for my second Kickstarter. I'm collecting my diary strip The Adventurers (http://the-adventurers.com) into a handsome little hardcover edition. We're almost there, but we could use a little boost; if anyone here is a parent or has little children in their lives, I think they'd really love it.

Madeleine Holly-Rosing (mhollyrosing) | 152 comments Hi Everyone:

My Kickstarter to print the trade paperback of the six issue mini-series, Boston Metaphysical Society, is running until Friday, March 3. It also includes a brand new ten page story called, Hunter-Killer. (The art was done by Emily Hu.) For those of you who don't know, we began as a webcomic in 2012.

We are currently 200% funded and have made four stretch goals, so get on board now to get all the goodies. (Stretch goals include Kickstarter exclusive prints and twelve more comics (pdf) of some amazing indie creators.

Please take a look and pledge today!
