Skylar x Josh/ Celine and Damian
Josh snorted and glanced back from the front porch, doorknob in hand.
Darren glanced up at Skylar and a small but true grin tugged at the corner of his mouth. It had been a while since he had been in such good company. "Nah," he picked his back pack up again. "This'll do, I guess."

Darren nodded vaguely, eyes everywhere at once. It was really amazing. There weren't any words that could begin to describe it. Instead, he looked over at Skylar and another one of those sad, thoughtful, and extremely gratifying smiles attempted to turn his face around. "Thank you." There was a depth to the words that could catch Skylar off guard.
Josh waited in the doorway, and caught the look with perplexity. There was something familiar in the way his nephew acted that was beginning to confuse him. Had he been that way before?

Darren's smile widened a little and this time he hugged his uncle's lover back. "Good. Because I... I like this family." The way he said it made it clear he meant Josh and Skylar's family, and how he was now involved in it.
Josh leaned against the doorframe and smiled too. Hearing those words come from Skylar just made his heart melt.
((Oui!))

Darren stood until the door was closed, then turned and fell back onto the massive bed with an impressive 'mmph' noise. He tried to feel happy, and he suceeded to a certian point. He couln't help but feel the nagging anxiousness about later on, however. How late would that dinner run for?
As soon as Skylar was alone with him in the hallway, Josh grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and dragged him forcefully into a deep kiss. "I love you so fricking much..."

Josh laughed a little and pulled away. "N-Nephew, hun. Nephew." He corrected him, giving Skylar another, but slightly smaller, kiss. "And he l-likes you t-too... I can tell."
Josh just shrugged, still smiling. "We're cl...close in age." He said simply, using it as a good excuse for him. Then he nodded and pulled Skylar into a hug, wrapping his arms around his waist. "Yeah, he does. Kinda hard n-not to love you."
The arms around Skylar's waist tightened a little. "Mhm." He nodded, face buried into his chest. "That sounds g-good."
Josh made sure to lock the door. I mean, they did have a guest now, and they had to be a little more careful.
...
...
"Sky," Josh murmered, listening to the heartbeat sing in his chest. "If it was up to you, no one w-would ever wear clothes."
Josh grinned and kissed his neck. "We should just st-stop wearing clothes. Then they can call us, 'The N-Nudists of Versailles.'"
Josh broke down into quiet laughter and rolled off of him. "Yeah, no, let's not do that to p-poor Darren just y-yet."
Josh thought about it, rolling out of bed and onto his feet with a small thud. "Uh, actually hun, I think I'll ch-check on Darren and m-make sure he's r-ready for to...tonight." He kissed his cheek and he tugged some clothes on. "S ok?"
"You sure?" Josh smiled a little, but didn't want Skylar missing out on his shower because of him.
Josh nodded and, after giving him a quick kiss, disappeared into the hallway to find Darren.
He was in the bedroom, pretty much the same spot they had left him. When Josh knocked and opened the door, Darren glanced behind him breifly, then went back to staring out the window and turning the knife over in his hands. He had found his way into the kitchen and taken it back up to his room to think. Think, and maybe more. "You ok-kay Darren?" Josh swallowed when he saw the knife. When the boy nodded, he frowned. "Then what's that?" He nodded to the steak knife. Darren stared at the blade for a moment, as if registering it's presence, and then shrugged silently. "Dunno."
Josh stepped over and then took the knife from him easily, and without warning. He knew how this worked. It just surprised him that Darren had tried it. "Serrated edges are b-better, right? They don't sting as m-much afterwards?" He said, sitting down on the bed beside him. Darren gave him a glance, but didn't say anything. Josh waited a moment before asking, "Did you do it yet?" As the boy shook his head, Josh let out a deep breath. "Good. You don't n-need too. It doesn't take th-thoughts away like they s-say." He got up and tucked the knife into his pocket. "We're going to dinner tonight. You'll feel b-better after that. Promise." Squeezing his shoulder momentarily, Josh left again with a slightly heavier heart than before. He knew Darren had it rough, that he hit lows sometimes, but he seemed so fine earlier that day... Dinner woukd bring him out of it. Josh was sure. He started back upstairs to the bedroom again.

((You think so? ^.^ Thanks. I love Josh. I wish he was my big brother or something. :P ))
Josh saw the smile and mirrored it halfheartedly. "Yeah, s-sure," he said quietly, grabbing an extra set of clothes.

((Incredibly. They just have that magnatism between them. :) Btw, it's sooooo late here... bedtime :P))
Josh had his arms around Skylar's neck and he leaned against him a little under the water. "I uh," he started hesitantly for some reason. "I caught D-Darren trying to c-cut himself..." He said quietly.

((Should we start it here, or in the new site?))
Josh shrugged a little. "Usually people cut to f-forget, or think about something else. It's the thoughts in their head that m-make them so up...upset they just need to do s-something to get it out. B-But... He should feel better here. Un-Unless there's another thing else be...besides family on his m-mind..."

Josh smiled shyly and buried his face into Skylar's shoulder. "I l-love you too, Sky. More'n anything." He could feel the deepness in the hug, and tighened his arms just a little more. "Never l-leave me..."
Josh watched him for a moment, somehow still moved after so long. He knew he would die before he left him either, because life would have no meaning without him - no matter how cliché that sounded. "Y-You're the only good thing l-left in my life, Sky. I don't know how I s-survived without you." Sad thing was, it was true. Skylar was the only good thing in his life. If he left, the palace, the money, the cure, would mean nothing.
Josh snorted a quiet laugh and took the towel. "Never though I'd h-hear that from you." He said with a smirk, drying off and then pulling on his clothes again. Another worry hit him. "I b-better check on Darren..."
Darren jumped at the noise and hesitated before getting up off the bed to open the door. He was so caught up in his thoughts, in an alternate reality, everything seemed artificial now. It was something that happened after he tried to hurt himself. "Hi." He said in his quiet little voice, surprised to see Skylar there. It was obvious as his eyes widened a little and he kept glancing at him nervously. "I..." He stuffed his shaking hands into his pockets. "I'm sorry..."
Darren shook a little as Skylar hugged him, trying not to but failing. Then, suddenly, his arms wrapped around him and his fingers grasped Skylar's shirt as if it were a life line. "I'm so sorry..." He breathed, keeping his prickling tears at bay. "I just... I don't..." He couldn't tell them. They wouldn't believe him.
Josh stood behind, wringing his hands with terrifying vigor. Oh Darren... What was so wrong? What did he need to forget so bad?
Josh stood behind, wringing his hands with terrifying vigor. Oh Darren... What was so wrong? What did he need to forget so bad?
Darren stared at him, caught up in how sincere he was. "I..." Was he really about to confess? Confess. As if the sickness was a sin. "I can't." He turned away and stared into the corner of the hallway instead. "I can't."
Darren took the suit with slightly raised eyebrows, feeling the fabric with interest. He didn't say anything, just analized it silently.
Josh smirked. That was the Darren he knew. "He l-likes it." He announced quietly. "Meet us by the d-door when you're r-ready."

Josh was quiet for a while as they walked down to the door. "Hope he's okay..." He said softly, his hand wringing themselves together tightly.
"My family t-tend to have that effect." he said with a small smirk. With the exception of his father, of course. "I'm glad you love him. He's v...very important to m-me. He's h-had it r-rough..." In fact, Mallory was his sister. Somehow, it didn't seem right to tell Skylar that, considering he was the one who had killed her. "I just hope he can feel b-better here with us while he has t-time."
Josh blinked and looked over at him. "Seriously?" He didn't think it was a bad idea at all. "Yeah, I'd be okay w-with that. I'm sure he'd w...want t-to." He grinned as the idea sank in.
Josh nodded happily at the idea and carefully linked his arm with Skylar's, just to pull him a little closer.
At nearly the same time, Darren arrived. He came down pulling at the collar of his jacket and fidgeting with the cuffs. It looked comfortable enough on him, but it was obvious he uad never worn one before. "Ready."

Darren shook his head quickly and actually managed a bit of a smile as he caught up behind them. "No, walking's okay." He said truthfully as he fell into step with his uncle.
Josh glanced at him and smiled, glad to see there were no knives in his hands. Glad to see he looked a little happy for once.

Josh nodded and kissed him back in the same way. "Love you t-too." He murmured against his cheek before pulling away.
Darren watched them quietly, unable to miss the obvious happiness that seemed to come from his uncle. It was nice, when all he was used to before was a constant sadness of sorts.

Josh got pulled in himself, hardly noticing they had stopped walking entirely now to kiss. He kissed Skylar back just the same, hardly remembering his nephew was right there watching.
Darren stopped, his hands in the pockets of his expensive trousers, and stood there watching as his uncle and his finacée began to kiss. It was a bit of a surprise to him when he found out Josh wasn't interested in girls, but it had never really bothered him. It had bothered his stepmother, and that was why only Darren's father was attending the wedding. He stood there quietly for the longest time before Josh came to his senses and pulled away a little. "Hun..."

Josh smiled at Skylar's obliviousness, and couldn't resist but give him another (but smaller) kiss. "We're b-being watched...."
Darren slowly began to turn a pinkish color and looked away.

Darren raised his eyebrows and nodded, glancing at him with a shy smile. "No, that's fine." He said easily with a shrug. "Understandable."
Josh smirked and took Skylar's hand again. "G-Good thing you st...stopped us. Or we m-might have been late..."
((Great idea! I could see Josh's suit, but Skylar's didn't come up. :P Try reposting it?))

This time, Darren smirked and Josh turned a different shade of embarrassment. "Shh y-you." He slapped Skylar's arm gently and began to tug him along.
((Roger))
((Roger))
This just made Josh blush even further, but he didn't say anything until they got to the restraunt.
Josh followed Skylar in quietly, making sure Darren wasn't far behind. He didn't think much of the paintings, but he noticed Skylar's shudder soon enough and clued in. His heart caved in slightly, feeling terrible for him. Leaning over to whisper quietly to him, "I'll ask if we can sit s-somewhere else."
Josh hesitated for a moment before nodding and squeezing his hand as he sat down. "Okay." He opened his menu and his eyes scanned down with a small frown of thought before he closed it again.
Darren looked at the paintings for a moment. They were interesting... As his uncle sat down, so did he. "I like it here..." He murmered, giving the couple a smile.

Darren glanced at Josh before nodding with a small smile and beginning to look through his menu.
Josh sat there for a moment, then turned to Skylar and reached across to squeeze his knee under the table beside him. "What'd you g-get?"

"I don't - " Josh cut himself off by kissing him in return, his voice smoothing out into nothing.
Darren tried not to smirk again. "Uh, no. I'm not allergic to anything."
Darren tried not to smirk again. "Uh, no. I'm not allergic to anything."
Josh took a piece of bread and tore it into a few smaller bits on his plate.
Darren grabbed a handful of bread and began chewing on it hungrily.

Darren just nodded and looked away as he kept chewing. "M'hungry," He mumbled, shrugging before taking another bite.
Josh smirked at him, but didn't comment. His appetite had gone down ever since he stopped shifting. And even now, as it began to get darker into the evening, his want for food had dropped considerably. It had used to be the opposite.

Amid all the French, Darren's head shot up as he heard truffle. "Like the candy?" He asked, blinking.
Josh hadn't been listening, to intent on counting how many bread pieces he had.

((Still can't join.))
"Oh." Darren seemed a little put out and he went back to his bread.
Josh looked over at his nephew and smiled a little. "I didn't used to like m-mushrooms either." He said, to make him feel a little better. It was like a wolf instinct to hate mushrooms, since they were probably the most dangerous thing to eat out in the forest. Funny, they had more in common than he thought...

((You did. It won't let me in. :P))
"Uh, th-this," Josh showed him his menu and pointed at the title. "I don't know how to pr...pronounce it."
((You're killing me with this surprise guest :O ))

Now everyone's heard of Versailles Palace. If you've heard of it, you've probably seen pictures of it. But as Darren stepped out into the afternoon light and stood there with eyes wider than thought humanly possible, gawking at it like an oggling ostrich, he understood that neither came even close to capturing a fraction of the Palace's actual magnificence. "I... I'm..." He dropped his backpack onto the ground. "I'm sleeping in... There?"
Josh grinned and, as he walked by, grabbed Darren by the nose between his fingers; pulling him forwards towards the front door. "I'm sorry it d-doesn't meet your standards sir."
