Josh took the puppy and set it down carefully between his cross-legged knees, watching it promptly lay down on the little patch of grass and yawn. "Sky," He looked back over ar him. "This... Th-This means so much to me..." His voice was just laced with gratitude. "I've married the best m-man in the wo...world..." He reached over and pulled him into a tight hug, crushing his lips with his own.

Josh grinned at him and nodded. "Definately. I just... I c-can't..." The puppy was distracting him, trying to crawl over his legs with little yipping noises. Josh stopped, listening. It was odd. He could recognize that the sounds coming from the little wolf were words, but he couldn't understand them. "Is it a g-girl or a boy?" He finally asked, tearing his eyes away from the little puff ball.

Josh grabbed onto the sides of his head before he could escape and dragged him even further into the kiss. "Y-You're am..amazing," he said, releasing Skylar finally and redirected his attention at the puppy. He carefully played with his little ears, retracting his hand sharply as the critter attempted to eat his finger. He might be little, but he had teeth.

"L-Love him." Josh corrected him with a smile. "I can't believe you ac...actually bought a d-dog..." he flopped down onto his back and set Joshy jr on his stomach, watching as the little dog crawled up onto his chest, tiny tail wagging furiously as he stumbled in the effort.

Josh closed his eyes and took a deep breath, alarming the puppy as his bed shifted. "How m-many days till the day?" He asked quietly, glancing over at Skylar.

Josh smirked and gave a small shrug, letting the little wolf chew gently on his finger a bit. "We don't n-need to plan too much." He said simply. "We'll pay your d-dad's way, and he can stay at our place, but other than th-at... Who else are we pl-lanning for?"

Josh blinked at him. "You do?" How come he hadn't heard of this before? "And they're... Y-You know... Safe to be around?" He grimaced, hating to ask but naturally having to.

((Yeah, I was thinking about that... Who though? Maybe his aunt, Mallory's mum? I mean, he has little to no connections. He has one kind-of-werewolf friend he could invite too. He could try his dad))

"Oh." Josh nodded simply. Sure. "That'd be great if you c-could invite them..." He trailed off for a minute, thinking. "There aren't m-many people I can invite... I m-mean, there are my mum's friends... And Mallory's mum, my aunt. My cousin D-Darren... He'd come. And..." He suddenly trailed off. There was one 'person' he'd really like to have come, but that was almost impossible.

Josh counted on his fingers for a moment. "Uhm... Twelve?" He said slowly. Yeah, that sounded about right.

He nodded and sat up, carefully removing the little guy from his stomach. Standing up he paused for a moment, trying to figure out the best way to carry him. Eventually, he just decided to carry him in his arms. They didn't have far to go. "You know," he said after a moment of walking. "I can al...almost understand him... But he's just a p-puppy, so maybe after a wh-while it'll get easier." It probably wouldn't, as any of Josh's senses were just left-overs from when he was a wolf. Although he didn't know it, they were left-overs given to him by his his mum.

Josh smiled, letting Skylar choose where to eat. He kissed him back sweetly, a reminder of what a perfect day they were having. "M-Make sure whatever r-restraunt you p-pick will let him in," He reminded him, glancing down at the little snoozing dog in his arms. Some places didn't allow pets, shockingly. Josh had always avoided 'no dog' restraunts because, even as a human, he tended to excite allergies in people.

Josh set the puppy on the table, of course, and watched him crawl around. "H-Hey J-man..." He murmered, resting his chin on the table so he could watch him at eye level. Picking up a spoon, he poked at the dog and smirked as he watched the little guy try to eat it. "Sky," he looked up at him. "C-Could you read it to me?"

Josh frowned. "What's sch-ch...schn...s-schnit-tzel?" German was probably the worst language for him to try and speak with a stutter. It was just wrong.

"Mushrooms are g-good." He nodded and smiled a little at the puppy. "D-Don't get him anything hot, though. They're s-sensitive to heat." He poked at the tiny wolf's shoulder and was rewarded by a playful snap.

Josh listened to the German fly off Skylar's tongue, glancing between him and the waitress every now and then. Not quite as sexy as French, but impressive anyway.

Josh nodded quietly. "Yeah he is." He said, silent for a little while before putting his chin on the table again and closing his eyes. He kept petting the little guy slowly, rythmically.

After several minutes, long enough for the puppy to fall asleep under Josh's hand, he opened his eyes to look at Skylar. "What're we d-doing for the h-honeymoon?" He asked.

Josh stared at up him from his sideways position on the table with wide eyes. "Holy crap." Maybe not the most eloquent of reactions, but it worked.

If possible, his eyes widened ever further. "Are... Are you kidding me?" He sat up and stared at him, fixating him in a shocked brown gaze. "T-T...Two w-weeks..." Slowly, his mouth folded into a smile. "Two..."

Josh kissed him back just as happily. "Two weeks..." He repeated, pausing and then kissed him again. "I can't believe you."

Josh nodded vehemently. "You could say that." He said. "I'm g-going to have to pull out the wh-whole works to p-pay you back... Or else I'm going to rot from being sp...spoiled all the time." He smirked.

Josh smirked and kissed the top of his nose in return. "Already planning on it." He murmered.

Josh grinned and pushed him aside as the food showed up. "Sh-Shove off," he scolded Skylar and handed him a fork. "And eat hun."

Breakfast may have gone well, but lunch was another matter. Josh picked at his 'whatever the German name was' for several minutes, and then ended up only eating the mushrooms. He fed the meat bits to the puppy, who devoured the little pieces greedily.

Josh looked up at him innocently. "I'm sorry." He sounded guilty, and then turned back to the puppy as an escape, but his gaze was distant. "I th-thought I would be able to eat, but I just..." He shrugged. "Sometimes I j-just c-can't."

Josh looked at him sadly, and bit the inside of his bottom lip. "Sky," He said quietly. "I'm sorry. It's just that if I e...eat r-right now I think I could puke. D-Don't ask me why. I have n-no clue." He kissed him quickly and gently. "F-Forgive me?"

Josh sighed and nodded, shrugging. His health wasn't really up to him but - "I'll t-try." He murmered, and reached out to detach the puppy's jaws from his tail. "Y-You don't want to do that Jay," He said quietly, finding a nickname for the critter. "I know it l-looks like something you should ch-chew, but it h-hurts afterwards, trust m-me." He scolded the dog, and it stared at him blankly.

Josh looked over at him and made a face. "Maybe. But he'd j-just devour plastic..." He paused, considering the idea. "I h-had to regrow all my teeth when I f-first started shifting. I u-used ice in a pillowc-case." He shrugged in return. "Think that would w-work?"

Josh smirked a little and gave him a look. "What?"

Josh watched as the puppy chewed on the metal, and nodded a little. "You d-don't think it'll h-hurt him?"

Josh nodded and gave him a smile. "Yeah, that's good. Pr-robably save us a fortune on pillowcases." He added, remembering how angry his mum had been when she noticed a massive puddle on the kitchen floor and an empty linen closet when shs got home. That was just before she died. She died maybe a month after Josh had been bitten. He never had the chance to tell her about his disease, but somehow he was pretty sure she knew now anyway.

Josh looked over at him slowly. "No Sky," he said seriously. "I h-hate this dog. Take him back." At the same time, he reached out and carefully grabbed the puppy, taking him up and snugling him.

Josh looked up at Sky as he got up, raising an eyebrow. "You put up with this dog for f-five years, but you c-can't handle a puppy?" He turned away and shook his head, clicking his tongue while still not relinquishing the squirming ball of fur. "Sad, Skylar. S-Sad."

Josh smirked and shrugged helplessly. "Wh-What can I say?" He said simply, and let the puppy back onto the table. "You kn-know what is a good nickname for him?" He began, letting the dog lick his plate. "Y...Yoshi. Like on Mario-C-Cart." Josh had just learned what Mario-Cart was the other day, which was kind of sad considering his gender and age group. That aside, he had other, more important, things to think about through childhood.

Josh grinned goofily and gave the dog a little poke. "Yoshi." He said, in about the weirdest voice ever. Then, he looked upnat Skylar and the grin turned into an amused smirk. "You d-don't like it."

Josh nodded slowly, smiling back. "Mhm." He said, a little disbelieving. "Well, if we f-find a better name later, then we can change it." He said pleasently, and pet the little wolf happily. "Do you... Do you w-want to get going?"

Josh followed like always, happy to trace Skylar's footprints wherever he went. "Where's the n-next stop babe?" He asked quietly, carefully stepping around a puddle in the street. It must have rained while they were inside.

Josh nodded contentedly and shifted the puppy in his arms. "Uhm, is it okay my c-cousin Darren comes a little earlier than the r-rest of the guests? It just works be..better that way..." In fact, it was because Darren's parents were close to being even worse that his father, and he didn't want the poor guy having to travel with them.

Josh smiled sweetly and leaned against him as they walked. "Th-Thank hun." He murmered, reaching up to kiss his jaw. "You're am...amazing." The puppy made a strange squeaking noise as if in agreement.

Josh knew it too, and for a moment his smile faltered. "You're p-part of mine now," He said quietly, smile regrowing. "So I'm gl...glad you think that way."

Josh waited with Skylar by a small coffee booth just outside the airplane terminal, figuring it was the best place for Darren to find them considering the mobs of people who waited directly outside the door.

As soon as the plane came to land, and everyone was cleared to leave, Darren grabbed his carry-on and hauled it into the airplane dock. He pushed his way through the crowd (they weren't very strict with waiting policy, apparently) and began to look around for the spot Josh had told him about...

At first, Darren stopped dead when he saw a stranger wave at him. But as soon as he noticed his uncle standing beside him, he started over; dragging his luggage behind him.

Josh grinned lopsidedly as Darren made his way closer, so glad to see him again. The last time he had seen him was years ago, around the same time he had ran away with Skylar. He missed him.

"Hey D-Darren," Josh smiled and held out a hand for some luggage. As soon as it was given to him, he nodded to Skylar. "This is m-my fiancée Sk-kylar. Sky, my nephew Darren." Darren was the son of his bitchy older sister, who dropped her kid on her ex husband after cheating on him, and then ran off with some pro surfer from Texas. How one gets to be a good surfer in Texas is a mystery.

Darren smiled a little and held out a hand. "Hi."

Darren made a bit of an awkward sound as he was hugged, but he smiled anyway and let it happen. After Skylar had released him, he took a step back. "Uh, I'm glad you called me up early," both he and Josh knew why had been called up early, and he was grateful. "I mean Versailles, wow."

Josh nodded, playing with the handle of the luggage distractedly. "Y-Yeah. Yeah I know." He said in a soft kind of awestruck tone.

"That must have cost a fortune to rent." Darren shouldered his backpack unknowingly.

Josh glanced at Skylar and smirked. "Ah, no. We own it."

Darren stared, unmoving for several moments. "Woah." He said finally, blinking after what seemed like forever. "Woah. So I get to sleep in there?" He seemed a little starstruck.

Josh smirked quietly and nodded, turning and starting out into the parking lot. "Yeah."

For a moment, Darren seemed to worry. Then he asked, "Can I sleep in?"

Josh laughed a bit and nodded. "Yes, d-don't worry. You can sl...sleep in till noon if you want." He sat down in the passenger seat while Darren climbed in behind - thuroughly relieved. He leaned across the gap to give his finacée a kiss before using his seatbelt.

Darren nodded silently and stared out the window as they drove, his eyebrows drawn carefully together; as if his thoughts were tedious.

Josh didn't think much of it. His nephew was a brilliant mind, always thinking deeply. It wasn't rare to find him in the thinking position.

Josh nodded, feeling the bsst he had for a long time. He was with the two most precious people in the world to him, and they were here to stay. Darren had to leave at some point, but until then, he was drinking up his presence. "I kn-know. You excited?" It was clear what he meant. Was he excited about getting a nephew?

Josh sighed a little, so glad to see him this happy. "Good." He reached out and put a hand on the back of his seat.

In the back, Darren smiled.
