Skylar x Josh/ Celine and Damian
At the last word his head snapped up and his eyes focused on him through his reading glasses. "S-Sure." He said. "W-Want me to c-come?" He closed his book, only marking it with his thumb.
"I couldn't t-tell." Josh smirked wryly, glancing down at the puppy curled up into his lap happily. "Okay, if you're s-sure you're good..." He looked back over to him. "Bring back s-something g-good." He smiled crookedly, the glasses slipping along his nose.
Josh always felt a little lonely when Skylar wasn't there, especially in a house so big. He didn't even have Darren.
But he had the puppy.
The little dog was yawning and rolling on his lap, licking his arm every now and then when Josh became too absorbed in his book and forgot to pet him.

Josh just brought his knees up onto the chair and huddled into a blanket. He got cold very easily, perhaps from acclimatizing to wearing a fur coat so often. Vaguely, he wondered if Versailles had a thermostat as he turned the page.
Vagueness turned into a focused thought as Josh was slowly dragged out of the pages by goose bumps. EVen the puppy was shivering. He pulled the blanket around him tighter and stood up, gently pushing the dog to the floor.
He frowned that crooked and kind of frustrated frown he had and glanced up at the wall mounts as they began to flicker. "R-Really?" He sighed, exasperated, and dropped the blankets back onto the couch as he began to look for a flashlght incase the lights went out all together. Which was possible. Although his senses were far good enough to survive in the darkness without so much as a stubbed toe, he liked the light.

While Josh search for his flashlight everything went out, but surprisingly there was still a faint light was coming from the tv room.
((>:) ))
He gave up trying to find one after a moment of stumbling around sniffing. He nose just was not what it was while a wolf; although undoubtedly more sensitive. How could one sniff out a flashlight while human?
He turned back to the tv room and decided to just sit beside whatever it was that was still blinking on batteries and wait for the power to come back on.

Oh.
So it didn't run on batteries.
Josh cast the puppy a skeptical glance, as if suddenly doubting it's low intelligence. He slowly walked over the candle, crouching down until his wary brown eyes were level with the small orange flame. Now this wasn't weird at all...

It was like a prickling right under his skin, an inaudible whisper trying to tell him something. People said animals were more sensitive than humans when it came to gho-
He didn't even go there. Really? Ghosts? Maybe there was a heaven, maybe there were angels, but Josh was pretty damn sure there were no ghosts. Nevertheless, the tingling remained like an omnious warning, and Josh wondered if maybe he should phone Skylar...

((Aha...aha... No. :P And apparently my mum thinks that sleeping like the death and having to be woken up is my fault and a bad managment of time, so I have to make up for it by working. So... I might not be on for a while... ))

((Gawww. *strangled with feels*))
Pulling his cell out of his pocket, Josh unlocked it and began to dial in his husband's number. He held it to his face, beginning to shiver as the creepy air began to tingle with sincerity. There was something there - no. No there wasn't. It was all in his head. He was alone in a massive house and stressed about his son. It was all okay... There was no such thing as ghosts.

((Hey what? O.o))
Now that he heard his voice, Josh relaxed and sat down heavily on an armchair beside him. "Sk-ky," he began, wondering exactly how to phrase this. "Do... Do you b-believe in ghosts?"

((Seriously?! :D Awesome dude! I'm happy for you! :DDDD))
Josh bit his lip and pulled his knees up to his chest as another wave of eeriness swept over him. "I uh... There's s-something h-here... I don't know wh-what... I can't s-see it..."

Josh hesitated, wishing he was home right NOW. "'Kay." He said quietly. He knew it was the wolf in him that was picking all this invisible stuff up. "See you."

Strangely enough a warm feeling came into Josh, like when his mom made hi fresh cookies, or when he used to play with his dog fluffy.
"Love you." After turning his phone off Josh felt a little better... And then a lot better. Wow, did talking to Skylar make a difference...

((Ugh. Robespierre. SOB. XD I'm super looking forward to it. When is Sky going to be a wolf?
Sure, if you like. Easy enough. ^.^))

((Oh oh! Him! I thought you meant Skylar and I was like, whaaat? Of course...
Lol okay. I kinda like Caleb actually. He's... Interesting to play. xD A demigod sounds good. Or elemental.
So... I just want to make sure I get this. Sky's gonna be injured DURING the battle of Robespierre? In Versailles? ))

((Sweet. Now, in Josh and Darren's history, they were both sick for several weeks before actually transforming. The curse battling against the body for control. You don't have to do that, but just so you know. I'll send you a werewolf info thing when the time comes so you get the details of transforming.... ^.^
Just what I was thinking! Water bender sounds excellent.))

((Oh yeah, the curse will heal him of everything. The sickness is of a different nature. Which you totally don't have to do. It's up to you. Skylar's a special case. ;P Do you want him to shift on the spot?))

Skylar smiled as he hung up and found an American BBQ restaurant. " Ahh the holy grail of meat."
Josh curled back up onto the chair and rested his chin on his knees. God... He had been alone for more than half his life, but suddenly he felt so lonely.
The puppy jumped up and nestled in between his thigh and the armrest, and Josh willingly detatched an arm to pet him. He knew how good that felt.

Josh was reading. Stephanie always told him he looked nerdy and intellectual when he read, so it became a habit not to do it often. But now he had found the DaVinci Code and he was absorbed.
