Darren nearly fell off his seat as he tried to get away from the window. "I uh, there's, there's..." He got down onto his knees and peered over the edge of the seat at the grounds below. "There's people in the driveway." People as in his parents, who had come, as requested, ahead of schedule.
Josh nodded and gave Skylar a quick kiss before turning and walking off, briefly ruffling Darren's hair before disappearing downstairs.
Darren was trembling. He had to pull it together, he knew it... But it was terrifying. He was pale, peering over the edge of the seat like a sniper awaiting to go ahead; silent in his anxiety.

Josh hesitated before opening the door. "Hello S-St-tephanie, hey Jeff." He cleared the distance to the vehicle and grabbed a bag to help. Josh's sister spun around and snatched the bag back. She was a sharp looking woman, her long blonde hair done up into a ponytail. Athough she was obviously an attractive woman in her late twenties she wore enough makeup to make the star of a monster movie blush. "I don't need your charity Joshua. Just... Hello." She gave him a small hug and started to the front door. Jeff, a tall and solid guy jet black hair followed silently, giving Josh only a going over.
Darren shivered and nodded, hugging him back almost desperately. He was panicking... That had alsays been a problem of his. "Don't let them take me back," he pleaded. "Please please please. I can't do it by myself." Darren was in the same position Josh had been in, although Josh hadn't been given a way out.

Josh let his older sister and her husband into the front behind the door. He stood there a little awkwardly, his hands twisting together with nerves. "So, Steph, th-thanks for - " She interrupted him with a firm flick of a hand. "I don't see why we had to come early," Stephanie let out a stiff and exasperated breath as she exchanged a glance with her husband. "I know you said you got some things to talk about; but seriously Joshua. We haven't spoken for years..." She rolled her eyes and turned slightly to peer up a staircase. Jeff snickered and his beady eyes flicked between Josh and Stephanie conivingly. "Besides... There probably won't be much talking going on." Staphanie snorted at the poor reference to Josh's stutter. Josh crossed his arms and felt his confidence begin to plummet. At the sight of his expression, his older sister smirked and shook her head. "A joke, Joshua. Honestly."
Darren held onto his shirt with trembling fists. He took deep breaths... Count to twenty... "I love you," he murmured, his voice stiff as he tried his hardest to compose himself. "I do. I want to stay... With you and Josh. My wolf doesn't like you yet but he will; I'll make him."

Josh sighed and looked away. "Wh-Whatever St-tephanie. This way." He waved them to follow as he headed upstairs. "My fiancé's n-name is Skylar, 'cause you pr-robably don't remember." Stephanie shrugged in a way that clearly meant, I have better things to think about.
Darren slowly nodded and then let go of him. "I understand. I know you won't... Let me go." He swallowed and took a deep breath.

( Lol Josh's sister should get a crush on Skylar cause ... hes so damn attractive XD)
Darren nodded and closed his eyes. "That's more than my dad ever wanted to do for me." He said quietly. Darren ran his hand through his hair once to make sure he hadn't screwed anything up, and then nodded again. "Thank you Skylar. I trust you."
Josh stopped just before the door and gave them both a confusing look that Stephanie had grown used to throughout their childhood. It was a look that read, "play nice or I'll panic and barf on your shoes." Pathetic, Joshua.
Then Josh opened the door.
((XD Totes))

Josh entered quietly and held the door for his relatives.
Jeff shouldered his way into the room, his presence as effective and large as an elephant. He had an extremely stony physique and was more or less built like a square. Maybe it was because of the strong German accent he carried, but Jeff was intimidating. You wouldn't want to get hit around by that guy, and unfortunately, Darren had been. His eyes were dark and beady, they had an ominous way of sliding around the room that made it seem as if he was analyzing everything... He probably was.
Stephanie came in after, dressed in an overly colorful (and overly 'form fitting' for her body type) blouse full of frills and shining buttons that were straining to keep the fabric together at the threat of bursting. Stephanie was a petite femme, but there was a one size too small for everyone. Her blonde hair was pulled straight back into a ponytail that made one's eyes water and scalp throb just looking at it, what was left of her hair swinging behind her in a mockery of playful innocence. For a moment Josh wondered if she kept her hair that tight to pull the wrinkles out of her face (if anyone was to get them so young, it was Stephanie). Before Josh had a chance to say anything, his sister's face simply opened up into a massive and Hollywood like smile. "Darry!" She said breathlessly, as if she hadn't been expecting to see him here. Her arms opened up into a wide and dramatic expectation of an embrace.
Darren glanced at Skylar nervously before stepping up and having his mother's arms wrap around him like the coils of an Anaconda, pressing him into her showy form without shame. However, Stephanie's eyes weren't on her son, but rather on Skylar. Holy mother of God no wonder Joshua was gay...

Stephanie dropped her arms from around Darren as if he had bitten her, her smile just regrowing into a more (insert shudder here) flirtatious form. "Not at all, Skylar. It was just fine. Wasn't it, Jeff?" But her husband was too busy staring at the ceiling with a stupid frown smeared across his face. She didn't even notice, as she hadn't looked over. "And please, call me Steph." A small and very forced laugh followed this, and her hot pink lips parted into a smaller smile. "We are going to be step brother and sister after all, aren't we?"
Darren took a step away from his mother and wiped at the side of his face where a nice print of Stephanie's lips were painted.
Josh stood there silently, his arms crossed defensively. He wasn't smiling as he was far beyond acting anymore. He disliked his sister and she knew it. The feeling was mutual.

( Ok I had an idea... Stephanie agrees to give custody to Josh and Skylar if Skylar ( shudders) sleeps with her)
((Lol poor Skylar. XD
And yes, that's perfect. Talk about ultimate LOW. :O))
Josh made a small noise and turned to go into the next room. "W-Want anything St...St...Tephan-nie?" His eyes squeezed shut as he tried to get the word out. His sister's name couldn't be harder for him.
Jeff began to laugh but quickly turned it into an unconvincing cough as his wife's elbow met his chest hard. "Got any coolers in there Joshers?" She said with a fake smile.
Josh hid a scowl and nodded, leaving the room. As soon as he was out Jeff smirked. "Hey St-tephan-nie?" He joked and his wife scoffed, interrupting him by turning to Skylar. "So, believe it or not I didn't even know Joshua had a boyfriend... Where did you two meet?"

" About five years ago... it was a summer trip to a new vacation house in the woods... and it was just love at first sight." He said taking Josh's hand.
((Lol sure. He pissing you off?))
Stephanie popped the top off his bottle and she smiled that same, plasticy smile she had. "How nice. Around the same time Joshua disappeared?" She raised an eyebrow that was more teasing than grudging. "A runaway... Romantic."
Josh nodded, avoiding her eyes and wrapping his fingers around Skylar's trustingly. He hadn't realized just how much he didn't miss Stephanie until she was actually here.
Darren, bored and stressed as hell, began to sit down on a chair next to him but jumped back up as his father's large hand met the back of his head hard. "Get up. We're talking."

Jeff shrugged and nodded, following Skylar out of the room as if it was the last thing he wanted to do. It was.
Josh turned his head slightly and watched them leave. He would have smirked, but really he was afraid of Jeff freaking out on Skylar... And without his undead strength, Skylar was just... Skylar. That was a miracle, but it also stressed Josh out when he knew he could be hurt. But considering his brother in law had a brain like a bowl of overcooked noodles, it couldn't end up that bad. He reached out and Darren slid under his protective arm quickly.
Stephanie peered at the door, her hazel eyes locked on the door. "What's that about huh?" She murmured.
---
Outside, Jeff crossed his arms across his iron chest and gave Skylar his 'polite glower'. "What?"

((Omfg I love him. XD))
Jeff stared at Skylar as if he were death wearing a mask. His thick German face was growing beet red, and he didn't know how to react. No one had ever treated him like this... Ever. Ever, ever, ever. It was like a shock of mortality to his system. Woah... He nodded quickly and made a thick noise, his face somehow expressionless. "Got it." He growled, but the tone was probably due to his throat closing up.
---
Josh shrugged and gave Darren a small hug around the shoulders. "I d-don't know. I think he wanted to sh-show Jeff s-something... Something like that."
Stephanie made a dismissive face and looked vaguely out the large bay windows. "You really managed to snatch yourself quite the fa - man, Joshua." She corrected herself before it was too late and cleared her throat to make up for it, giving him an obviously guilty smile. Old habits died hard.

Josh interrupted his own glare at his sister to look over at Skylar as he came back in flagged by Jeff, who was rubbing his throat with a sour look on his face. Josh smirked and reached out for his fiancé's hand.
Stephanie yawned and took a practised swig of her alcohol. "So what to do now..." She said in mock tiredness, carefully running a manicured hand across the side of her hair with a flirtatious smile at Skylar. She was certain she was beautiful... Someone as beautiful as Stephanie deserved someone beautiful like Skylar... Josh was like... Like a sick dog beside him... He didn't deserve him.
Darren avoided his father's glaring eyes by sticking them on a vase in the back corner of the room, trying to keep his heart still.

Stephanie shrugged, and Jeff did nothing but glare into the corner. The threat had been a massive blow to his ego. "Whatever. Have fun. Jeffery and I'll go sightsee." She gave her husband a peck and he grunted.
Darren looked up and over at Skylar, eyes a little wider than usual. "Macbeth?" He echoed, a small smile creeping up the corner of his face.

Darren was grinning quietly to himself as he nodded and then reached out to hold onto Skylar's arm affectionatly. Werewolves seemed to like physical contact in good moods. "I read Macbeth."
Josh was slowly grinding his teeth, his arms still crossed over his chest. He was still pissed about his sister and her asshat of a husband.

Darren nodded yet again and curled into him in a way only Josh and he possessed. "Can't wait."
Josh let his eyes flick over and he watched them, his gaze a little distant.

"Wh-What did you do to him?" Josh suddenly asked, brown eyes up now to meet Skylar's. "Jeff. I've n-never seen him so... Pouty, b-before."
Darren frowned. He hadn't noticed anything...

((Sorry, parents dragged me away across the city before I could post. -.-))
Josh smirked a little, his mood humored slightly now. "Th-Thank you... He was driving me ins-sane."
Darren sighed and looked up at Skylar. "I can't wait to live with you guys." Seeing his parents just reminded him of how much he didn't want to go back; how amazing the prospect of abandoning his old life for something so much better was.

At this, Darren burst out laughing. He stuffed his mouth into his elbow but the sound came out with determination anyway. "Oh..."
Josh tried very, very hard not to join in. He stood there, hands clasped behind his back, and his mouth strained like a taunt fishing line. "Wh-What?"

Josh felt bad, but the grin made it's way onto his face anyway. "Oh Sky," he said, amusement in his voice as he wrapped his arms around his shoulers and hugged him close. "I love you s-so much..."
Darren was pressing both the palms of his hands to his mouth in an effort to stop any giggles.

Josh hlgave him a strong kiss on the cheek and then let go of him. "Only you w-would want a d-day like that."

Darren had to leave the room. He was laughing too hard.
Josh smirked and crossed his arms. "You didn't tell me you l-lived in a n-nudist c-colony."

"Mm." Josh's smirk grew a little more. "I see. You r-realize it's a l-little weird for D-Darren to do that? It'd be d-different if it was just m-me and you..."
