" Maybe I am... 270 years of living will do that to you." Skylar said putting the cake in the oven as he moved on to baking cookies.

"No," Josh set the pancake nicely onto the top of his pile. He stepped over and kissed the patch of skin right behind his ear. "You're n-not crazy."

" Thanks.... Am I crazy for not wanting to grow old with you... just wanting to live this was with you for ... three hundred years more..."

"If it's c-crazy to w-want that," Josh looped his arm around his waist, flipping through the cookbook to look for something else to make. "Then I'm crazy t-too. I went from w-wishing my l-life would end to wanting it to g-go on f-forever."

Josh smiled and kissed the top of Skylar's head as he curled into him, deciding not to say anything either.

Skylar kissed him passionately, so passionately he practically threw Josh on to the table without breaking the kiss.

Josh grinned, unconfused, and kissed him back heatedly. His hands ran up the back of his boyfriend's shirt, tracing ridges he knew so well.

" If I didn't have a cake cooking I would do you right now. " Skylar said heatedly as he returned back to kissing Josh.

Josh snickered and peeled his face away so he could instead redirect his lips to Skylar's neck. Darren wouldn't notice hickies in a dark room, would he? "I won't eat a b-burnt c-cake hun..." Of course he was kidding. He woukd eat anything Skylar made... As long as his body let him.

" Yeah I know.." Skylar said with a cocky grin as a moan escaped him, god this felt amazing. " Mmm... Well now that Darren's living with us he should get used to seeing you naked."

Josh moved up to his jawline, taking a deep breath. "Usually I w-would agree," he said quietly. "But he's s-super s-sensitive r-right now... The dr-ream?" He said to remind him, but then occupied his mouth before he could respond.

Skylar just was silent for a moment. " Yeah... I guess..." He didn't have the guts to tell Josh about the dreams he's had.

"S-Something wrong hun?" Josh frowned a little and ran his thumb across Skylar's jawline, letting his earthy brown eyes search his boyfriend's.

Josh let out a tiny breath and nodded, giving him a small kiss. "Yeah," he said quietly. "I think he d-does..." He paused. "If you w-want to have peace in m-mind, maybe you should ask him, though."

Skylar breath escaped him as he called his son back. " Hey Dar, can you come in here for a second."

Josh let go of him and smiled, turning briefly to rescue Skylar's near burning cake from the oven.

Darren stepped in, rubbing his eyes and holding a Spiderman DVD in one hand. "Yeah?"

Darren was silent for a long moment, the smallest of innocent frowns cross his face. "What?"

Skylar was serious. " I want an honest answer Dar, Do you love me?"

Darren reached up and ran a hand through his dark ginger hair, sucking in an awkward breath. "I uhm," he paused. "I don't know you very well, but... I think I'm beginning to love you..." Skylar had earned that trust the night Darren had changed around him.

Skylar gave a pained smile. " Thanks Dar... now go get the move started heres some pancakes and cookies for you."

Darren gave him a smile and took the baking gratefully. "This is just one more reason to love you..." He turned and disappeared back into the next room. Within a few moments the beginning credits of Spiderman could be heard at a low volume.

Skylar's smile slowly disappeared and as he began to continue baking in total silence.

Josh stopped and looked over, sighing a little bit. "Sky?"

Skylar just stayed in silence as he kept baking.

"Skylar, what's the m-matter?" He came a little closer even. "It wasn't th-that bad on an a-answer was it?"

Skylar still didn't wanna talk as he seemed to brush off Josh's words to easily.

"Sk-ky." Josh had enough and he took Skylar's shoulder gently. "Come on. Answer me."

" I... I just... I.. thought he loved me." Skylar chocked a bit on his words as a tear ran down his face.

"Oh," Josh swallowed and put his arms around him. "Sky..." It was so difficult for him. "Love takes a l-long time to develop. It took us a wh-while too... Br-reak ups and g-getting back together again made our r-relationship." He frowned. "And this isn't s-some shitty poetry I h-happen to be able to spin off. I mean it. D-Darren comes from a d-dark place too... Do you kn-know how hard it was for m-me to get him to tr-rust me? He doesn't... Form relationships very w-well."

"Whatever.." Skylar said coldly as he called up the maids and butlers making sure they'd be ready to clean before guests arrived.

Josh frowned and took a step back, arms letting go of Skylar to dangle limply at his sides. "What's your problem?"

Josh sighed again. "He's only known you for a f-few d-days Sky." He said patiently. "Give him time. It's n-not like he d-doesn't like you. He's r-ready to have you as his d-dad, doesn't that s-say something b-beyond words?" Josh didn't seem about to forget it.

Josh ran his fingers through Skylar's hair. "I l-love you." He said quietly, handing him the milk for his recipe. "Everyone d-does eventually."

Josh scoffed and shook his head. "Nah," he said. "You could n-never be just a g-guy. Especially to us."

" ... Yeah.. I guess your right... Dar Dar." He called into the room.

The television paused and Darren padded barefoot into the room. "Yes?" He asked, munching on a cookie.

" I.... I love you.." Was all Skylar said before returning to baking.

Darren adopted the same kind of silence as before, but then he caught Josh's eyes for only the briefest of moments before his dad turned away to turn on the taps. He didn't say anything, but walked over and wrapped his arms around Skylar's waist and pulled him into a careful hug. "You love me?" He murmured into his shirt.

" Yeah... as long as you love me.." He knew he wasn't exactly true, he'd love him no matter what.

Darren swallowed. This was what he didn't like to talk about... "Half of me loves you." He said sadly, hugging him tighter. "Only h...half." Darren's voice broke at the end and he sniffed. He felt so guilty about the part that didn't like Skylar, so inadequate.

" Well then i'll just make him love him." He said with a smile as he scarthed behind Darren's ear, a pleasure he knew both Josh and Darren had.

Darren's arms slipped and his foot began to tap against the floor, leaning into Skylar in enjoyment. "Well he likes that," he murmured, eyes closed pleasurably.

Josh snickered and leaned against the counter to watch the interaction. Darren's human side loved Skylar, definately.
