Skylar x Josh/ Celine and Damian
(( >;3 Maybez...))
Soon however, the limo stopped by the palace. Almost immediately Josh jerked awake and sat up stiffly. "Ugh..."
Darren slept on, his snoring a little louder now. He was slumped against Skylar in one of the most awkward positions possible, mouth hanging ajar.

Darren slept on, his snoring a little louder now. He was slumped against Skylar in one of the most awkward positions possible, mouth hanging ajar.
Darren was silent for a moment, then he sucked in a breath and his face screwed up as he tried to regain consciousness. "Y..." He yawned widely. "Yeah?"
Darren was, luckily, pretty small. "Oh...kay..." He fell asleep again on Skylar's shoulder, arms dangling limply by his sides.
Josh climbed out and followed Skylar and Darren quietly. He smiled and opened the door for him, waiting for him to get inside before following. "Just put him in his b-bed eh?" He murmured, gently reaching out to pull his kid's shoes off.

Darren curled up into his blankets like one who hadn't slept in ages. "L..." It took him a moment to finish. "Love you too... Dad..." He didn't specify between Dad and Pops when he was this tired. They were both effectively Dad, so no matter. He was asleep again within moments.
Josh didn't follow. He sat down in a chair in the hallway and tried to stay awake.

Josh looked up at him blearily, a sleepy smile crossing his face. "J...Just a l...little..." He said, climbing to his feet. "Sorry hun."
Josh let out a quiet breath and looked at him, eyes just a little distant. "Alright, Sky..." He rubbed his eyes, trying to wake up. It wasn't very late, but like Darren, the strain of almost transforming had worn him out.
Josh nodded and sighed again when he saw the bed. He struggled out of his clothes and then crawled up ontop of it like a child greedy for the covers. "Yeah I kn-know. Only the b-best for you Sky..."

( I commented in Bryce :)
((Ok! I gotta go to bed though... Timed edurance swim tomorrow. >:( Gotta drop 55 seconds to qualify for Bronze Medallion. >:( >:( >:( ))
Josh nodded and rolled onto his back so he could watch him. "Really? Crap. You m-mean I could have g-gone and m-married some other guy? Maybe I shoulda st-tuck with Sam..." He smirked and then pulled Skylar closer for a kiss.

Josh gave a little whimper for some reason and shook his head. "D-Don't even talk about that," he said finally while breathing. "She k-kept me in a kennel... Every n-night..."

Joah nodded and took a deep breath as he curled into Skylar. "I know you wouldn't l-leave us." Us, as in he and Darren. Josh was now an 'us', no longer an 'I' or 'me'. He blinked tiredly in the dark room, letting out the breath quietly. "Sky?"
"D... Do you ever... Have you ever wanted to b-be a wolf?" God knew Josh didn't want to be a vampire. Josh didn't feel that being a vampire was any worse than being a werewolf, but he wondered if Skylar had ever wanted to see the world the way Josh did at night.

Josh was quiet for a long time. He had wanted... Somehow, that made him sad. "You do?" He echoed quietly. In all truth, Josh sometimes wanted to show Skylar his world. It was one thing he just couldn't share, and it was the loneliest part of his life. Sighing, Josh dipped his head a little and crept a little closer even. "I... I would like you to s-see it," he said finally. "But I wouldn't w-want to see you h-hurt Sky... And most of the time it does hurt." He didn't want Skylar feeling left out, especially now that there were two wolves around. His fiancé was defiantely the odd one out.

"Sky..." One thing Josh had been dreading, was seeing Skylar die all over again as soon as they left the palace bounds. He hadn't told him yet, but he felt he had too. "I d-don't want to you to d-die again..." He didn't know how Skylar felt about it. Either he could be upset, or take it easy as a fact of life. He had spent so long without a heartbeat, and it wasn't like he would just keel over as soon as they were gone. He was still immortal, but it was hardly comforting.
"But I'll l-love you anyway, just like before." He knew it was mushy and stuff, but he knew that it helped to hear things like it every once in a while. "You know that right?"

Josh let a shy smile sneak onto his face and he carefully rolled over, so his legs were tangled with Skylar's. He kissed him gently, a mere whisper of a kiss, and then moved his head back so he could speak. "God forgot about me," he said, the small smile somehow managing to stay on his face anyway. "But I th-think he k-kept an angel out of Heaven j-just so that I'm not alone..."

Josh smiled back, and let his fingers explore the back of Skylar's hair lovingly. "It's sometimes h-hard to get the words out," he explained. "But I try."

Josh smiled and tucked Skylar's head closer into the crook of his neck. He could feel him breathe. "Have you st-started wr-riting them yet?" He asked quietly, sternum vibrating with the sound against Skylar's neck.

"Eh," Josh wrapped his arms around him. "Doesn't m-matter hun. Just make it up." Of course he was kidding, but it really wasn't all that important to him. He knew how Skylar felt.

Josh nodded a little, smiling as he gave him a small kiss. "Then if it's th-that important I kn-know it'll be good. Just... Write how you f-feel." Easier said than done, and he knew that. Josh, of all people, knew that.

Josh actually managed a laugh. It was kind of throaty and deep, almost hoarse. That was what he sounded like at night, if not a wolf. "You k-kidding?" He said, pulled back to look at him. "I'm p-pouring my heart into the v-vows... A lot... I just d-don't want you to stress about it."
"They are hun," Josh said sincerely, cupping the side of Skylar's face into his hand. "They are. T-Trust me. I got them h-half done."

"L-L-L...L-Lov-ve y-y..." Love you. Suddenly his stutter got in the way and Josh couldn't finish. He was too tired, his focus was wandering away from concentrating on his words. Slowly, his eyes closed, his breaths deepened and slowed into the steady rythm of sleep.
As the night progressed, Josh moved a lot. It was his thing. He never kicked, no, but he rolled over a lot and reached out with his arms as if searching for something. Adorably, he always latched onto Skylar when this happened and held him there securely. So that was why, in the morning, Josh was pressed partially ontop of his fiancé, his arms wrapped about him lovingly. He snored lightly, just like Darren, with his mouth hanging open a tad.

That woke him up. Josh's brown eyes opened a little and he shifted so he could peer up at him. "Huh?" Came the sleepy response.

Skylar knew he couldn't fall asleep cause he'd move and wake them up, and he couldn't do that.
