Ah, okay, the first book I DNF-ed. The second book, I gave 3-stars. Which means; I guess I'm slightly on Vio's side for both.
Traitor.:pAmi, do me a favor? Can you get on DSP website? I didn't get my early morning email that old me my dd story and I can't get on their site. I wanna see if it's just me ( as usual) lol

So I stayed up a little bit later than I thought last night and now at 69%. :)I loved Kellen's response to Mike showing up at his door!
With each chapter the book is growing on me! I think I will postpone all the stuff I need to do today and finish!

I liked the last quarter best, once Mike turns up to help out.
I am at 45% now. Reading about Kellen's Mum is a bit difficult for me. It is one of my greatest fears with my own Mum. She is fiercely independent and has been my rock for like, the longest time. I cannot imagine the pain of having to see a loved one going through that kind of deterioration.
Anyway.
On a more positive note, the dynamics between Mike and Kellen are getting more and more interesting.
I am at 24% (still, since I finished Nalini Singh's first this morning). Planning to read this the whole day today (Tuesday). So I can catch up with the discussion.
Considering the length and the subject matter (at least a difficult one for me) it was actually a pretty fast read.
I am at the point that Dss wrote there, 45%. For me, Kellen's mom plot was more interesting than all the sexual things Mike and Kellen were doing. I got bored and skimmed them (view spoiler)

Yep, the sexual relationship never worked for me, even when they finally moved it forward. I mentioned it, very nicely I hope, in my I review.

see I liked that they went slow, and that Kellan wanted to give Mike time and space. Also it was clear that he knew his head space was wrong and he felt distracted and didn't want to make a hash job of Mike's first time. And then it was cute when Mike was all 'let's just do this!'I thought it was interesting that Harper created Mike as inexperienced as he is. She didn't really need that extra dimension to his character. So to me, that means she really thought about the person she wanted Mike to be.

This is why I love our buddy read thread. Everyone chipping in :-). I am on 60% now. Not feeling very happy with Kellen atm.

Still geeky and endearingly awkward, but he was the one who sought Kellen out, who offered help and s support system that Kellen really needed.
He stood up for himself too at the end, yearning to be together with Kellen, but didn't want to be regarded as something less serious than a partner.
Regarding the sex scenes, I dunno. They were alright, not scorchingly hot or anything, just okay.
So I've finished the book and rated it 3 stars. I'll go to the book page and read Vio and Mandy's review.

True, or was he settling lol. So many variables...
Yes, I thought about that, but this might sound..unkind, but he was almost 40 and hadn't even kissed, I can see his total infatuation and bonding to Kellen, his first in all those things.And Kellen isn't a bad guy at all, I'm hoping actually that this whole situation changed him a bit on the future and makes him more open.

Yes he was in awe I think that someone wanted him. Kellen will do the right thing. A follow up.....ehem.
Yes, I think if I got a short follow up with them later down the line, where I feel better about Kellen and Mike...yes, that would be great.

Vio and I have a slight disagreement on those two books. :)
