did you like it?

message 14: by Sydney (last edited Jun 09, 2013 02:35PM) (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) I didn't like it as much as the first one, I rated it about 3.5 stars. It felt like it was a big long complaint about Maxon, everything the poor boy did was wrong. Everything America heard from anyone about him she believed without even asking Maxon about it. And every time Maxon made her mad she run off to Aspen and decide she was gonna marry him again.

Natalie (Never trust a duck) Sydney wrote: "I didn't like it as much as the first one, I rated it about 3.5 stars. It felt like it was a big long complaint about Maxon, everything the poor boy did was wrong. Everything America heard from any..."

Oh, her running off to Aspen made me so upset. But when she caught Maxon and Celeste, I got mad at him. I still haven't forgiven him :)

message 16: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) Well yeah, that part was understandable. But she kept getting mad at him before that too! Like all through the book all she did was complain about everything Maxon did, but didn't try to understand WHY he did it.

Natalie (Never trust a duck) I know what you mean. My opinion of America dropped considerably during this book, but I liked it cuz it toyed with my emotions :)

message 18: by Sydney (last edited Jun 09, 2013 02:55PM) (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) Yeah, I love the story, but I don't think I like America. But, I hardly ever like the main characters of books. I always like the guy who dies or the bad guy... :)

Haha i know how you feel. In City of Lost Souls (idk if you read that or not) I can't help but kinda like Sebastian.

message 20: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) That's my second favorite series :D I LOVE Magnus! My all time favorite bad guys are Bellatrix from Harry Potter and Rixon from Hush, Hush.

Natalie (Never trust a duck) Magnus is amazing, he is just totally wicked. Bellatrix is cool too. I like Mr.Keeper from Entwined...until the end, thats when he gets creepy.

message 22: by Sydney (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) I've never read Entwined, what's it about?

Natalie (Never trust a duck) Do you know the story of the twelve dancing princesses? It's based off that. The girl's mother died, so the castle is in mourning. The girls aren't allowed to dance, which was their favorite. So they find a secret place in the castle where they meet Mr.Keeper who lets them dance. He turns out to be a not so good guy. It's kinda slow in the beginning, but it picks up.

Sydney (sydneypearl) I used to LOVE that story! I can't remember much about it now, except that it was one of my favorites. I'll have to read it soon. :)

I also read The Prince (The Selection, #0.5) by Kiera Cass today as well. It's an eBook exclusive of Maxon's point of view. It's only 27 pages though.

Natalie (Never trust a duck) I REALLY wanna read that, but im too lazy to pay for it. Was it good? Do you have a nook or kindle?

message 26: by Sydney (last edited Jun 10, 2013 03:00PM) (new)

Sydney (sydneypearl) I have a Nexus 7, which a Droid tablet run by Google. So all my books are bought on Google Play. I also used to have a Kindle, which broke, so I got a Kindle app to get all my old Kindle books back.

And I really liked it. It goes from right before the selection up until Maxon first talks to all of the girls and America offers to be his friend.

Also, I read Hana today. It's 44 pages.
