Want a Buddy Reader?
Would anyone like to read 1984 by George Orwell with me? I have the book already, but it's on my summer reading list for school along with a couple others, and I'm already started on Fahrenheit 451, but I should be ready to read 1984 in about a week (give or take. Anyone interested?

You or I could make a new thread under the budding reading list so we could discuss the book there?

Do you want to make the new thread, or should I? It doesn't matter to me either way

1.Out of Sight, Out of Mind by Marilyn Kaye
2. Gamer Girl by Mari Mancusi.
3.The Dark Hills Divide by Patrick Carman.
4.Love, Aubrey by Suzanne LaFleur.
Just saying, if anyone really wants a buddy reader I can read almost anything (if it's available at my library) with you :D
@Sam- I can't compare books with you because you're private, but if you want to look at my bookshelves and see if we have any books in common that could work :)*Preferably something from my library shelf, or my tbr shelf if you want
So Sam, based on our to-read shelves we have: The Goddess Test, Partials, and Code Name Verity in common!
Well I'm reading Partials in a marathon on the 8th but I'd love to read Code Name Verity with you if you want... Or if you have any other book you would like to read, I can have a look at it and tell you what I think :)
Can someone explain to me what Buddy Reading exactly is? Is it like a group discussion about a book but with a buddy?
@Helena- basically you find books you want to read. Ask if anyone wants to read it too, and if someone does you read it with them.
@Sam! Just letting you know that I created a discussion thread for us, but I haven't set a date- we can decide when the two of us get the book :D
Here are my suggestions:The Declaration by Gemma Malley
Tomorrow, When the War Began by John Marsden
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
Wide Awake by David Levithan
Going Bovine by Libba Bray
Love Is the Higher Law by David Levithan
Marcelo in the Real World by Francisco X. Stork
@A I have an obsession with finding books where characters are going to die. I don't know why but I think, kinda knowing the characters fate, makes it easier for me to emotionally handle the ending.
Out of interest Helena, have you ever read the book thief, that's an amazing (yet super sad) bookIf not, I recommend someone does a buddy read for that!
SO many people loving the book thief :D :D :D and yeah- it was so amazing, that I haven't read a book that compares
