Should J.K Rowling continue our beloved Harry Potter Series?
J.K. Rowling is not going to write more Harry Potter books. I hope she decides she should write more Harry Potter books, though!
She ended it so well and as much as I would absolutely love another book, I think she has tied it up in a neat little bow. I think a prequel would go down well though. About the lives of James, Sirius, Peter, and Remus.
I wanna see her write about when James and the whole gang went to school. Also I would like to see a story about Tom Riddles childhood.
Yes. No doubt, although I would like her to kind of step backwards to the maurader-era and stuff like that instead of the ‘future’
ok, so I've mixed opinions about this. I don't want her to continue the series with Harry's children's "adventures" in Hogwarts (I hate the cursed child since, in my opinion, it's quite boring and doesn't quite fit in to the series), but I'd love for her to add more backstory to the series (maybe something with the Marauders but I'd love to see something with Snape's childhood or something too!)
No. I don't want her to continue with the series cuz I think the ending of deathly hallows was just right. We all came to terms with it. I read the plot of 'The cursed child' and I was not happy.Instead I would love for her to write a prequel that involves Voldemort's uprising, Marauder's shenanigan, and James-Lily's story.
Honestly, I don't know. It would be fun to see what happened to the characters after they left Hogwarts and their daily life, but I think what is special to the series is that it has an ending. You know what I mean?
It's split down the middle for me. I feel like if the story continued, it wouldn't focus on Harry, but it would focus more on his kids. While I love hearing the stories about their mischief, I would rather hear about Harry, Hermione, and Ron. But then, at the same time, how awesome would it be to have one last battle, a few more books with the legacy continued? Plus, you add kids, older characters, and throw in a bit of 'Expeliarmus', what more could a true Potterhead want?
Personally I'd love a post Hogwarts series with Harry becoming an Auror and grappling with his past and relationships and such. And all the weddings and Weasley nieces and nephews!
Unfortunately, I no longer feel comfortable supporting JKR financially due to her opinions on trans people, so I would have to go the library route for any additional books. However, one of the worst things is when something good goes on for too long and gets bad. I would hate to see HP go that direction, so I don’t necessarily want any more books
I would love to see more about the Marauders era. Would love to see Molly and Arthur sneaking around and Lily and James falling in love. I would love to meet young Sirius and see him getting into trouble. But also don't want any more books because I am scared she will ruin it.
No. For how much I loved the Harry Potter books, I don’t want what was already good to be potentially ruined with a continuation. It might be nice to get a book or two on the Marauders when they were at Hogwarts, and I’d by lying if I said I didn’t want more canon material… but what if new books are made and then people decide “Hey, let’s make it a movie”? Some people may like new movies but I certainly won’t, considering new actors will likely be needed
I would give anything to read a series about the Marauders Era or the Founders era. But as for the 7 books that have already been written, no. I feel it's perfect as it is.
Mixed feelings. I'd love for it to go on for generations but is she who needs to speak for upcoming young adults, NOT!
Sequels? Definitely not. Leave them up to the readers' imaginations. Now, more prequels and spinoffs, yes please. No more movies tho. Books first.
I don't necessarily want J. K Rowling to continue the series because I liked the ending, I like the not knowing excatly what happened after the war. It's something I would rather leave up to my imagination. I like the possibility that whatever I imagine could be true. BuUuT I would absolutley LOVE for her to write spin-off series about the marauders, the founders....
I don't want a continuation of the Harry Potter series, mostly because I think it ended well and we see the continuation of the family. However, I 100% want a Marauders series!! I think that one would be even more amazing than the original!!!
I think it would be nice to have more books that talks more about Harry's, Ron's and Hermionie's future
Look. Okay I get where you're coming from. But not really. Albus Potter had his happy ending when he redeemed himself. Harry (and the trio) had their happy endings. There IS a book about the Marauders. So what would the other books be about? Voldemort's past? We already know enough about that! So really, what would it be about?
I read Harry Potter and the curst Child I loved that it was in play form but to be honest it wasn't that good and as you said one of my friends read that book and he said it was good
Eh... In between her more than problematic and frankly vile actions against trans people and the awful sequels and prequels (minus the first Fantastic Beasts movie), along with the questionable worldbuilding choices (see the map of magic schools around the world) I will sadly say no.I am open to fanfic though.
Ann wrote: "Harry Potter does not need to be another Star Wars. Quit kicking the dead horse."Agreed. Star Wars is beyond lame. Imagine every single HP quote in Star Wars form. A nightmare. "Up to no good I am, I swear." No thanks.
No, of course not. She ended the series so perfectly that to attempt to continue it would be a disservice and an inevitable disappointment no matter how excellent a storyteller she is. No need to gild the (L)ily, so to speak.

It would be. And, yeah, Cursed Child is purely for money. I have heard but I am thankful I never read it.
