Ginkash | 16 comments I'm ok with what we have right now too. But I would love it if she made a new series about Harry's sons life

That is a really good idea! I would read anything harry potter related.

message 153: by Yunduz (new)

Yunduz | 2 comments I wish she would write more books about Hogwarts and adventures of other students, how they learned magic. Besides, I am sure there are other evil wizards there, they need to be taken down too :P

message 154: by Julia (new)

Julia I think J.K Rowling should make another book about Harry and ginney's and raon and Hermione's kids ect... 7 books obviously just like the originals!!! what do you guys think?

Brooklyn Tayla (bookishbrooklyn) | 833 comments I agree, Julia.

Even she can write about Voldemort, how was his years in Hogwarts school, what he did after school, how did he workout all horcruxes, how did he gather all his followers..other than memories from pensieve, how he was exactly.. his lifestyle etc... it will be interesting read!

message 158: by Julia (new)

Julia yes there are so many different way J.K. rowling could write new books and I think they would all be good. I think she should write more books based on the Harry Potter series in some way. I thought even the life of Albus dumbledore would be an amaing book. Harry Potter FOREVER!!!

message 159: by Priyanka (new)

Priyanka (priyaanka) | 38 comments Ditto!!! there are so many ways... so many interesting characters, so many plots she can elaborate.. I hope if she can resume this series with some new thread... it would be an interesting read.

message 160: by Olga (new) - rated it 5 stars

Olga | 2 comments I'd rather not read about their kids 'cause i don't like Harry and Ginny as a couple.Am i the only one who thinks a book series about the Maradures(James,Sirius,Remus and Peter in their Hogwarts days)would be awesome?

I agree. Even I didn't like Harry and Ginny as a couple. I rather loved James and Lily, even Sirius. So I would definitely love reading more about the adventures of Marauders. Because definitely they were far more adventerous than Harry, Ron and Hermione.

message 162: by Julia (new)

Julia I do agree that that would be an interesting book. But again there are so many different books J.K. Rowling could make off of the Harry Potter series. The real question is what is the most interesting.

message 163: by Lily (new)

Lily Burton | 6 comments I am very interested to know how their kids are getting on in Hogwarts. :D Especially between Albus Potter, Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy XD

message 164: by V.M. (new)

V.M. LaFountain I would love to see Harry Potter continue with the children's stories at Hogwarts. We see them all ship off, now what happens? Did Voldermort somehow produce an heir that we haven't heard about? That would be pretty cool!!!

message 165: by Julia (new)

Julia Yeah I think he should have gotten married to Belitrix Lestrange. That would be so great to see the kids stories.

message 166: by Val. (new)

Val. (goodreadscomvaleriehowler_puff) I would love if this was a never ending series! There are so many routes she could go with the series!

message 167: by Joshua (new) - rated it 5 stars

Joshua | 32 comments Harry Potter as an auror.

message 168: by Efm1 (new)

Efm1 SHE SHOULD

message 169: by Eva (new)

Eva (pastelbooks8) | 8 comments Well maybe not more harry potter books but maybe she should do more of the textbooks like she did with the 3 textbooks she already made where the proceeds all went to charity. she should maybe make hogwarts just a little more real with textbooks and maybe a "collection" of letters notes and that kind of thing. so maybe no more books but more to make it seem more real.

message 170: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Raine (sydneyraine) | 1 comments I think a new story for the harry potter series would be awesome! but only if it was good and kept the same characterization and things we love, if it altered my vision of harry potter how i see it now, I probably wouldn't like it and it would end up ruining parts of it for me :/

there is a series about that its on ipad, nook, kindle its called james potter

message 174: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 4 comments ABSOLUTELY!!! Who can honestly get enough of just 7 books from such an amazing stories all throughout the series and the imagination that comes in with the series. It would be amazing to see a sequence to HP. I would be the first to read it NO DOUBTS!!!

message 175: by Anny (new)

Anny (annyreads) I feel like the epilogue left SOOO much open, and considering how much information there is to get through pottermore and stuff, there is OBVIOUSLY enough happenings to put into another book.

It wouldn't have to be adventure style like the others, it could be more of the type that the Quidditch and Fantastic Beasts, like dictionaries or something?

I just want the FEELING of knowing there is another book about my beloved childhood home coming out, walking into a store, getting it into my hands...

message 176: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 4 comments @Victoria You have a very good point, and in a way I absolutely agree with you, now thinking about it you're right and Deathly Hallows was a great finale, it was all wrapped up pretty good, but maybe Rowling can make another series of the next generation, like with James, Albus, Teddy..... Etc. That would be very cool to read another series with the same kind of idea but with different people and different stories, I would probably love that too if that came out! I hope it will happen!

Lauren Winch | 18 comments For me, the ending was satisfying and it felt very final. Instead of writing further stories about Harry, Ron and Hermione, I think it would be great if J K Rowling wrote a prequel to the series. I'd like to know more about the founders of Hogwarts and their stories.

I'm also really curious about the the whole wizarding world, for example who were the first wizards? I think J K Rowling should write Bathilda Bagshot's History of Magic, like she did with Fantastic Beasts and Quidditch through the ages. I have so many questions!

message 181: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Winch | 18 comments Yeah I guess that's true. It's quite fun to imagine things about the wizarding world, and this would spoil that a bit. And you are right, I do like the mystery as well. I'd still like to know more though!

message 182: by l (new)

l | 144 comments I definitely think that the story of Harry, Ron, and Hermione has been put to rest and should stay at rest. However, I'd love J.K to explore the wizarding world further, because really we've only seen it through the curious view of a teenage boy. I'd adore a Marauders based series, because the characters of Sirius, James, Lupin, and Peter have all been set up so well, but they're not really explored in-depth. Since we already know the fate of the characters, some really interesting techniques like foreshadowing could be used to entertain the readers etc.

message 183: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Winch | 18 comments I like the idea of a marauders based series, I love Lupin and Serius and they died way too soon :(

message 184: by Emerson (new)

Emerson Lloyd | 4 comments I think she should not continue on the story of Harry, Ron and Hermione, but she should write about the happenings of the Deatheaters and the children.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be published on July 31st :) !

Yes! That would be amazing!

message 187: by Megan (new)

Megan Cheang | 63 comments I would like to see novellas from different character povs throughout the Harry Potter series: Dumbledore, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, Neville's grandmother, Severus, Tom Riddle/Voldemort, Draco, Lucius, Bellatrix... I am even curious to know the povs of the various DADA teachers.

Marina | 2 comments THIS BOOK GIVES ME ANXIETY!!I really don't know if I want her to continue the series... The Harry Potter series is my bae and I feel like it won't be the same I don't know why...I have not completely understood if there will be all characters from the last books or not... If yes I just hope that they will have the same relationship as we remembered!!!( sorry for my English I'm from Greece❤️)

I could imagine that Ron and Hermione are separated as she stated they shouldn't have come together.

Sumaiyah Umm... Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?!

This is an upcoming play, isn't it? Will it be published in book form?

message 193: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, on the 31.7.

message 194: by LENA (new)

LENA TRAK Great!! can't wait!

message 195: by Amanda (new)

Amanda | 5 comments I'd like another book too, but it would need action. While I do want to know more details of what came of the characters, I would have a hard time reading a book only about that. Perhaps she can introduce left over death eaters who have tried to finish Voldemort's work? Since she says Harry and Ron become aurors, they will first hand handle such a situation.

message 196: by Aaneik (new)

Aaneik Maiti | 3 comments I would like to see a Harry Potter prequel or interquel series/spinoff if possible.

message 197: by l (new)

l | 144 comments Well...I just read the Cursed Child and it was an absolute train wreck. Everyone was out of character and it read like bad fanfiction. I've written a review if you want more details (spoilers are hidden, of course).

message 198: by Matt (new)

Matt Wells | 32 comments I don't really count Cursed Child since it is a play, but JK Rowling would have to do some serious work to capture the magic all over again.

message 199: by K. (new)

K. (k_llewellin) | 3 comments Personally I'm happy at Harry's story having ended, but I'd love to see the HP universe expanded a bit, with series following the Marauders, or the next generation, or a stand alone based on the founders.

gab ⋆ ☾ ☁ ⋆ (gabvenditti) | 5 comments I've seen people say its overkill now, that we've said goodbye so many times and its time to end it, but i completely disagree! I would love to have it going forever.
