hope you enjoy Narnia!
Its that but in a different edition. This edition to be exact Complete Tales & Poems. I got it for $5 at a seller that majorly discounts their books. I'd like to get nicer edition that's leather bound such as this edition is The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe.Thank you! So far I am really enjoying Narnia! =D
Danell wrote: "Library called, "Ready Player One" is now in my hands!! Yeah!!"Does that book have anything to do with video games???
So far only on page 30, but a reference was made towards the atari system and other gaming systems that were popular in the 80's. Enjoying the 80's pop culture theme. I was smiling when in the book they were talking about the song "Dead Mans Party", yes I have that song on my MP3 player!! Such fun!!Josh the whole book seems like a game or race if you will, to find the billionaires money.
Danell wrote: "Library called, "Ready Player One" is now in my hands!! Yeah!!"hope you enjoy it Danell-it's a great book!
Josh wrote: "Danell wrote: "Library called, "Ready Player One" is now in my hands!! Yeah!!"Does that book have anything to do with video games???"
although it's set in the future most of the book deals with an elaborate virtual reality video game that is all about 80's pop cuture (including video games) the way to get the money is to win the game and to win the game- the gamers must know all things from that decade
if you remember and loved the 80's- I highly recommend it.

I'll probably get the gaming references since I know games of 80's. I own a Nintendo Entertainment System from 1985. It was my first gaming system... I doubt I can remember the 80's since I was born in 1990. lol. It sounds like a book I have to attempt to read to find out if I will like it. But from how you described that most of it deals with one huge video game, I will probably like it.

I haven't visited this topic in a while, but I finished my challenge. I read 8 books. I guess there is still one more week left. Is the Fall Challenge in the works?

Who would miss the opportunity to join in the Fall 2013 Reading Challenge? My life revolves around the announcement of each challenge and the planning of what books I will try to read :-)
Well unfortunately I will not be able to complete the reading challenge this time. As some of you may know I started a new job which limits my reading time and I still need to get used to my work hours. I am though looking forward to the Fall challenge and reading some horror books.

It has F-I-R-E in the title. This book is amazing. One of those reading experiences that will stick with you for a long time to come.

Man I wanted to post something on your reading challenge since I noticed I was further than you but now since I know the reason, I'll feel bad if I do. See you in the fall challenge! =D
Omg Josh you had me laughing so hard at your post lol. It's all in good fun, I still would have laughed if you said for me to hurry up. I am ready for the Fall one, antsy to see what challenges she came up with.
Ditto! I can't wait to see them! Fall is probably one of the best since I can incorporate so many horror novels into it. lol. I want to read Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal during October... I have already read Hannibal Rising. In the mean time I am reading Narnia, playing Persona, and trying to finish my second draft of Never-Land and possibly illustrate it further.
I wanna read Generation Dead #2 and I hope to incorporate more horror novels and maybe some of your recommended Shan!
Yes! You definitely want to incorporate some Darren Shan into your horror reading!!! I know I will if I land the job I just applied to and had an informal interview with... I need his two newest books. lol.

I am thankful it is almost over. My sisters got back on school work today and its been the first day that I wasn't constantly called upon so I could knock out two more pages in my second draft of my short story, Never-Land!
The remake was a great movie. I just haven't gotten around to reading the book. And thank you. =D

Dustin Crazy little brown owl wrote: "Josh, what kind of job did you apply to that lets you read your favorite author?"I meant, money for the books. I applied to Wendy's. I would LOVE a job where all I have to do is read Darren Shan books all day but sadly I don't know where to go to get that job or what it's title is called. lol.

Jenn wrote: "Munching on Milky Way cookies while looking through my books to see if any qualify for the fall reading challenge:)"Those sound tasty. Did you them?
I'm not sure how to copy a link lol. I just went on Pinterest and typed in Milkyway cookies. Josh are you gonna actually bake?

I can bake, cook, and do whatever else to make food editable and great tasting. Out of everything I have ever made, my mom's favorite thing has been my crab stuffed chicken.
Nope. I'm not a fast food type of guy. I love making food... especially from scratch. I just have fun cooking. I typically don't much care for fast food when I go out. I do like pizza though. I actually worked at a pizza place. My favorite food is Chicken and Dumplings slow cooked.

Alright. The Poe collection I have is supposed to be a complete collection, of a thousand pages. Definitely not going to work in my favor before this ends. XD I don't think I will be finishing any other books for the challenge since I am reading Narnia now.
