Günter Grass’ novel, The Flounder, was first published in German (titled Der Butt) in 1977 and was translated into English as The Flounder in 1978. Grass reimagines and expands upon the fairy tale, The Fisherman and His Wife. A link to the Grimm’s fairy tale can be found here:
