Shoes (I'm uncomfortable with my name going right after "fuckery" in a thread title)
I have discovered a hairball with my bare feet. It wasn't pleasant. On the other hand, if I'd been wearing shoes, I would have tracked it around for awhile, which is even worse.
Stepping in cat barf is worse when it's not a hairball -- just regurgitated food that squeezes up between your toes and smells like old dead fish.
No catnip plants, but we have lemon mint growing next to the back porch which one of my cats used to love.Oh, and I have catnip mice, toy mice I store in a tin filled with dried catnip.
Me too Sherri. And I've had to live without them for about 3 years now. I'm hoping we'll be in a house by summer so I can get a kitten by my bday. Sally, she is adorable. And she looks fiesty! :)
What is the footwear of choice today Sally?
I just call them slippers -- but they're soft and comfortable. LL Bean has some of the best. They last forever.
I've been wearing my Red Wing work boots to the office lately because of all of the snow and crap on the streets. I don't actually need steel toes in a cubicle.
I'm tired of my shoes getting soaked. I need waterproof walking shoes, I guess. But, NOT these:
Been there, done that! So not going back.
Keens! That's what I wear, trudging thru the mud at the park with the dog. My socks don't get wet at all.
These are my favorite spring-time shoe:
I'm excited about being able to wear them next month when we go on vacation since they are completely impractical and therefore perfect for lounging around in on a cruise ship.
Lest you all think I'm traipsing about in silly shoes 24/7 (I wish), these are my everyday around-the-house shoes:
Damn. Mary knows her shoes.I live right by the headquarters of Allen-Edmonds, a high-end shoe place so I buy their shoes bcause of 1) local pride, and 2) the fact I can get them from their outlet store.
I've got two pairs...one that looks kind of like these...

I used to wear only the brown ones but my students mocked me for never matching so I bought another black pair.
My favorite shoes, I think, are a set of Cabela's hiking boots/shoes like this:

Other than running shoes and a cool set of Nike sandals you have just now experienced my entire footwear collection.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've owned, and I don't even have to remember how to tie them :-)
