One of our Books of the Month for June is:

SLAVE TO SENSATION by Nalini Singh!!!

Please read and discuss below.

Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh

Amyiw | 175 comments Re-read time. Especially since the newest is coming out on the 6th of June. I'm considering pre-ordering it. I love this series.

I barely remember this one so will love re-reading it. I've always like the cats better than the wolves but it is all about wolves in the later shifter books. Lucas is a cat, Dark River. Sascha is a psy that is hiding and fighting the emotions that break through her barriers and label her "flawed". Ew... I'm going to love a re-read

Kat Klein | 151 comments Loved this one. Definitely PNR, rather than UF, but an incredibly good read. I'm with Amyiw in that I'm a big fan of the cats - But I'm pretty fond of the wolves, too. Nalini's created a fascinating, in-depth world, similar enough to our own to be believable, and relateable. A great choice for the BotM

Lauren (laurenjberman) Really enjoying this series. Took me a couple of tries to get into Slave to Sensation but ended up really enjoying it and was hooked on the series by book #3.

Lorelle (lozza2407) | 34 comments This is a tough one cause I love the shifters but its only half the story. The psy I find confusing and whenever it's their pov I glaze over. After a while I just can't bear the word psy ! But I commend the world building and effort she puts in. She knows how to write about shifters that's for sure :)

I love watching the psy break out of silence. It is so unnatural. I can see why you might find them confusing but I love them as advesaries (silence). (view spoiler)(This is way later introduced I don't remember which book)

Still this one is a jaguar shifter (alpha) and a psy cardinal. I started it today, I remembered it as about Sascha breaking silence and Lucas' helping, but there is a great back story of the (view spoiler) psy killer that Lucas mentions in the beginning, that I had put into the next book for some reason. I am into the 2nd chapter and was reminded. I always forget so much.

Nalini really gets the descriptions of her shifters and the culture/attitudes. I even think she does the psy great but that is her own creation. The only author that I think does shifters (werewolf) culture/attitude better is Patricia Briggs.

Nikki (withererose) Unfortunately none of the libraries in the area stock this book at all and don't have spare money to buy it at this time so might not get to read this one :( which saddens me because it sounds interesting :( oh wells I have plenty of books to read though lol
