Ashley wrote: "Btw thanks for giving me new recs. I know I have read a ton of books but I love discovering new authors."I'm surprised I was able to, LOL! I was really nervous too, the last 2 PIFM I haven't done so well with my picks.

Yeah, I can't wait to see how that goes. It kinda worries me though. I read Beautiful Disaster and loved it. So I was really looking forward to Walking Disaster and ... not so much.
Nichole- Same here! I didn't like Walking Disaster as much. Probably because I already knew what would happen.
Has anyone started reading this yet? I was without power over the weekend and had to play catch up today. Let's just say our fridge is now sparkly clean and empty! I plan on starting this tonight, hopefully!
I started it this morning! I haven't gotten very far yet, but so far so good :)Reading the guy's POV is a nice change...

Hmmm dont really like the beginning.... It starts with him depressed because the girl he loves is marrying someone else... You see that puts me in a sour mood I am such a hopeless HEA romantic that I truly do want sunflowers and sunshine all the time. While I realize that is not possible because some sort of conflict is needed to make a book I do prefer that the main characters are together during said conflict.
Okay I will admit this book was going down hill really fast for me but it has redeemed itself with all his efforts to win her back they are just plain funny.
Alrighty just finished and I am debating between a 3.5 and a 4.Anyways I have a story for you guys. You know how in the book he believes he has the flu when they are separated for that week. Well anyways years ago I was visiting my father for a month and left my boyfriend alone at the house (he still had work.) Well I get back and he tells me that he loves me and to never leave him for that long again. When I asked what made him realize that he loved me he told me that while I was gone he had a horrible stomach flu or what he believed to be a stomach flu. When he was sick he talked to his mom and godfather about it. They both asked what exactly he was feeling and he said that he just felt like there was this gaping whole in his life. They told him that he wasent sick that he was in love. At first he thought they were crazy. But he told me when he picked me up from that airport he realized that the whole was gone and that he really did love me.
So that is why I am leaning towards the 4 it made me a bit nostalgic...
That's a sweet story Ashley. Boys, they are so clueless!Okay, I'm at 65%. Should I use (view spoiler) tags? I highlighted a couple of things. But first, I need coffee!
Geez! It's friggin storming again!! The power just went out for a minute and I lost everything I typed....
Let's try this again...Ashley wrote: "I was bad and didn't use spoiler alerts...."
You didn't say anything that would spoil it. I don't think so anyway. I mean, as soon as you read the first chapter you find out they aren't together and the synopsis pretty much states it.

I actually thought it was kind of humorous that he thought he had the flu. My husband does this crap LOL. When he is frustrated at work, he always gets sick. I know days ahead of time that he will be calling in sick or leaving early at some point. In fact, he did this trick last Friday.
Him: "I'm coming home early, I'm sick."
Me: * rolls my eyes "Oh, what's wrong?"
Him: *pathetic voice "I just don't feel good"
Me: *trying to be sweet "Well, what are your symptoms? Maybe we should get you some medicine. Or make a doctors appointment."
Him: *pathetic voice "I don't know, I'm just achy. I think I just need to rest."
Me: *patient voice "Well okay, I'll see you when I get home." *Hangs up the phone* "Big Freaking Baby".
And because I mentioned medicine and the doctor he stopped and picked up O.J. LOL. But did not drink any and he was playing on the computer....
Okay, sorry about my side trip, back to the book
Lol no I love it. I think its a man thing. When mine is sick he is convinced that the world is going to end.
Ashley wrote: "Am I the only one annoyed by all his I am so awesome comments?"Normally, he would have drove me crazy with it. But I was somewhat prepared for it, so not as much.

Well, I just got to the point where he screws everything up. I so wanted to smack him upside the head for being an idiot. And to be honest, I've been waiting for the comic relief that I've heard so much about. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of things that made me smile and I even chuckled a couple of times, but I was expecting more. I'm glad to hear I just haven't reached that part yet. I really liked the guy's POV.
Funny parts for me so far

So yeah, funny but not hilarious.
Ashley wrote: "Lol no I love it. I think its a man thing. When mine is sick he is convinced that the world is going to end."LOL, I know right! When we first got married he had a double ear infection. Before he went to the doctor, he was telling me that he thought he had brain cancer and was going to die. Seriously.
I am only about half way through so I just skimmed the comments above. And I haven't clicked the spoiler links yet....but they look so tempting, LOL!I really like it so far. I love humor in my stories and so far this story has left me very amused. Maybe not laugh out loud funny, but definitely amused. I like the change of reading it from the guy's perspective.
I also feel like the author is doing a good job moving the story along. Not too much time spent on the office rivalry for that account. My attention hasn't wandered at all so far :)
Amused. That's perfect actually. I'm also amused. The spoilers are all before the 50% mark, so you click them if you are at least that far! :)
Fran wrote: "I also feel like the author is doing a good job moving the story along. Not too much time spent on the office rivalry for that account. Ashley! I LOVE that story! So sweet...
I'm done. I really liked it. It made me smile the whole time and I loved the last 20%. What can I say, I love the sappy, over-the-top gestures, but I also appreciated his honesty. It was great to hear him say it, and also be able to know that he really meant what he said. That's where the male POV was so valuable! It made me love him even more because I really knew his heart. Not just the actions to win the girl back.

The things we found out he said to her during their relationship (view spoiler)...that guy needs a good smack!

Oh, I forgot I highlighted something else. This is totally me...
"I've never been good at waiting. No matter how hard my parents tried, I could never wait until Christmas morning to find out what I got. I was like a mini Indiana Jones, searching and digging until I found every single gift."
My husband still hides gifts from me :)
Needless to say, spoiler tags don't deter me either!
I agree 100% about her boyfriend. He was a real douchebag. And Ashley, (view spoiler)
Anyways, I will finish it up this evening and give my final verdict. As it is now, I'm sitting at 4 stars.
I really liked it. There was humor, rivalry, passion, conflict and finally love. He was very sweet at the end. Determined to win her! I'm looking forward to the next one. The male POV was a lot of fun. I would like to see more of that.
