Danna We're all here archaeology and anthropology lovers. I would love to recommend the TV show BONES (2005-present), which is about the work of a forensic anthropologist in Washington, DC, and her work with the FBI and police. It gives you a great perspective on how anthropology may be helpful in the forensic fields and not only in research. Plus, it's very accurate thanks to the producer (and later writer) Kathy Reichs's experience and knowledge as a forensic anthropologist are the basis of the show.
Also, there is a series of novels many likes to read about this forensic anthropology, and I just thought I'd recommend them:
Temperance Brennan Collection Set Cross Bones (Temperance Brennan, #8) by Kathy Reichs

John (longjohn) | 12 comments Ðɑηηɑ's recommendation reminds my Tiny Brain of a book I first bought in 1966 at the British Museum, Digging Up Bones: The Excavation, Treatment, and Study of Human Skeletal Remains, by Donald R. Brothwell. There are later editions; I now have the 1981 version. It's nicely accompanied by the photographic guide, The Human Bone Manual, by White and Folkens.
