Looking for the title

I am looking for a book that I saw at the book store but when I went back I found that I had very limited info...dont know the name or author...silly of me I know. All I have is that it has a winter scene on the cover and is about a woman that finds a dog and he helps her get out of her slump...can anyone help me?
