Yep. A fan war.
I'm not sure you can even really compare these books. Not in writing caliber, not in content, and not even really based on main character either. Each series covers a wide range of various topics and themes and is unique in its own right.That being said, Harry Potter is the best overall. Divergent is finished, so it can't really be rated. Hunger Games was the best book in that series. And Twilight, well that has been misconstrued by the media and its fan base (revolving around the movies) that pale in comparison to the books.

shamefully I haven't had time to read Divergent!
can we really compare them? completely different books! reading wise I go Divergent before HG but the other s are so different. I lile them all but for different reasons. divergent is really mind blowing but all the other ones are absolutely good read catching and intriguingly. ... I reread them all as strange as it sounds.

50 years from now people will still be reading Harry Potter. I like Divergent and Hunger Games, but I can't say the same about either. The Twilight fandom is dying as I type.

Most of these comments are from a while ago and now since the trailer for the upcoming Divergent movie has been shown to the public a new craze has begun. I personally read the series a before this summer and I fell in love, it is an amazing book and you guys should give it a try. There were several comments stating they haven't read the book. This is how my list goes:1)Divergent(I will always love it)
2-3)I guess I can tie Harry Potter(I was not a very big fan of it, the books were ok, sorry if I offend anybody) and the Hunger games.
4)And last but most hated, Twilight series(I didn't really see what the whole craze was about)

I didn't really enjoy reading the last two I'm afraid.
I used to LOVE Divergent. Until the last book came along and just ruined it for me. I'm withdrawing from that fandom forever.
Yeah me too. I liked the first book. I didn't think the second was great and Allegiant was the series chance to redeem itself in my mind. Opportunity wasted.

Here's the scenario: Bella Swan enters the scene, Edward Cullen is nowhere in sight. Stealthily, Katniss Everdeen sneaks up on Bella and ends her. (Do we need to ask why?)Katniss, wandering on her way back from hunting, stumbles across Beatrice "Tris" Prior who is fleeing wildly from Dauntless to Erudite to find her brother. In her mad-dash, Tris mistakes Katniss for a hypnotized being and slashes her down.
Running in dark, semi-hooded clothing, Harry, Ron, and Hermione see Tris running at them full speed and mistake her mad-dashing as an attack upon them. Hermione shouts the revulsion jinx and Harry shouts rictusempera- effectively throwing Tris up and backward and down a cliff-side.

Harry Potter is the only series of those that I've liked every single book out of. Also, I'm a total HP nut, so I could never say anything else. I liked the first Hunger Games but I don't care for any of the other books in the series. Divergent is only ok, and I detest Twilight.
only dislike is .....none I love them all and true blood and beautiful creatures.

I would say Harry Potter, as mentioned earlier it's possible that people will still read Harry Potter years down the line but the same can't be said for the other books (even twilight, though it did have an impact whether you liked or hated it). HP had a wider audience: boys and girls, young and old. Where as the rest of the books (though still good, don't get me wrong) were generally more popular with young adult girls :P

I hated the last books in the Divergent Series, I just had to place it below Twilight. But nothing will ever touch Harry Potter. HP will ALWAYS be number one!
