Book description rules

I see people talking about not having links in the book descriptions, yet I can't find anything in the Librarian Manual stating otherwise - could anyone please clarify the situation?

It's in the tooltip on each book's edit page. It begins: Description/synopsis only and then goes into more detail.

Links and reviews are neither description nor synopsis, and will be removed when a librarian notices them in a book's description.

Thank you. Is there anywhere to put a link to a free downloadable mobi Kindle file, as Goodreads doesn't support them.
