I'm confused- spoiler!

I just finished and I thought it was good, but I am confused. So- April and Anjelica planned the whole Alec thing? They drugged him and then took the pictures so they could blackmail him. Does that mean Alec did not have sex with April? At one point April told Alec " nothing happened" and he said " we know that". But I also thought he couldn't remember. someone help clarify for me. thanks!

So April hadn't technically planned it, he really was at the wrong place at the wrong time, but when she found out Angelica was scorned she had her help set him up. In the end Aprils plan wasn't to actually dow hat she did, she just wanted to use the information she had to get her husband to give her the company without having to go to rehab. Angelica was just mean and spiteful, and when she saw fame and dollar signs, jumped on board.
Alec didn't remember anything after he passed out in the hotel room. And throughout the book was always confused on what happened...;)
