My husband gets home from work around 11:45 so I RARELY go to bed before 12:15, but more often that not I am up until 1:00 or later, depending on what books I need to read. I am FREAKING ADDICTED!!!

@Britney: I sent you a PM. I'd like to know more about your message #58! Maybe Kathy and I don't have to go buy a Kindle. hahaha!

Oh Vicki, you're way better than me. I'm usually in bed by 9 or 9:30 because i have to be at work by 7am. But sometimes i push it - esp if the book is good! LOL But i could never stay up to 1 and get to work on time the next day! :-)

Becky, I don't think "better" is the right word for me. More like "much more unwise" than you. LOL I honestly wish I could go to bed at 9:00 but I feel like I'm missing out on life if I do. LOL I lay there and think of what I could be doing. I RARELY go to bed at 3:00 or 3:30, but I have (even on a work night) and I have to be at work at 7:15. I am fine with 12:30 or 1:30 though, sleep until 6:15, and my school where I work is about 1 mile from my house. :o)

The Erasers are honestly one's worst nightmare, and I hate to say this but besides the extra powers they have to do some of the things they've done, there ARE people in the world like them: pure evil!

OMG that ticks me off to no end!!! It's funny because when I was reading about (view spoiler)[ Ella's mom treating Max with such love and concern, and Max said Jeb was the only other who had ever treated her like that, like a dad, I wondered then how he "died" and if he really was dead. Then my NOOK skipped a couple pages and I didn't even realize it until I went to go to the next chapter and it jumped BACK...I hate it when it does that!

Yeah, I usually try to be in bed by 11 pm at the latest, especially if I have to be at work early (like tomorrow). Lately though I've staying up late, like 1 or 2 am late, cause I'm a fellow addict and I can't stop reading!! So yeah I'm a junkie too! lol :D

Hi guys! So I really wanted to join this buddy read but didn't want to say anything until I caught up with you all. But I did! So I hope you don't mind that I'm crashing LOL.

I tried listening to this book on audio, but I really hated the voice of the reader and just couldn't do it (and I literally tried four times. I think I have the beginning of this book memorized). But then I started reading it today and IT'S SO GOOD!

I love how the chapters are short and to the point. This book is a breeze to read through! So addicting.

SO, my thoughts on the actual plot: (I read through 54, but nothing I'm writing covers that chapter specifically).

- I love Angel. She's so adorable! It's terrible to read about her getting tortured, but she's so optimistic about life and Patterson wrote her chapters like she was a cute, naive-ish little kid.
- JEB IS SO CREEPY. Why is he suddenly back at the school? My guess is that he's involved with reactivating the trackers (maybe he created them/is the only one who knows how to deal with them) and that's why the Erasers are suddenly coming at the kids with full force. He knows where they live, after all.
- They ALL definitely have trackers, not just Max. I think. How else could the Erasers have found the little cabin?
- Ella and her mom are so sweet!! I never would have been so understanding. And the way she handled the Erasers? Perfection.

My ONE gripe thus far:
- A little too many Eraser action scenes. They seem to be everywhere too quickly. The monsters can find them after 5 minutes in every single spot except for the places they sleep? Kind of unlikely, but I'll bite.

Guilty! And that's so funny that she had the same problem! The reader's voice was just very high pitched and exaggerated... much like a fourteen year old girl would be LOL. I guess that makes it realistic but it just downgraded the writing to seem like a childrens book.

WOW! What can I say except that I LOVE this book! I absolutely love action.

Ally, I disagree with you about (view spoiler)[ the Erasers being everywhere all the time. I thought the same thing you did at first until we found out that they have trackers, and now I think that because they are so easy to track, the fowl-kids will be on their toes and ready all the time. I think it makes it more exciting knowing that at any moment one of the Erasers can pop up. (hide spoiler)]

I am in love with each of these kids for different reasons. How ironic is it that Nudge and Fang were (view spoiler)[ together after Max left to help Ella and she never shuts up and he never talks? LOL And Iggy and Gazzy building bombs? Oh my! The oldest (Max) and youngest (Angel) are alone, and they were closer to each other than all of the others. (hide spoiler)]

And I adore both Ella and her mom. At first I was a little unsure about the mom because it seemed a bit (view spoiler)[ convenient that she is a vet, but I think she really is a good person; however, at this point I don't trust anyone anymore. (hide spoiler)] LOL

I finished with chapter 55 last night. I think Angel is becoming one of my favorite all time characters. She is SO young to be facing the things she is going through and all alone. She's my baby Angel heroine. Nothing better happen to her worse than already has or I might have to hunt down the author! LOL She seems so grown up well beyond her years!
