Gamal Hennessy The discussion I started last week about writing styles generated a lot of good discussion. I wrote another essay about inspiration and how much a writer needs to start writing. If you get a chance to read it, please let me know what you think.

Michael Jones (tubalschrift) | 11 comments Thanks Gamal, I thought it was helpful. I ended up reading a bunch of your short articles. I only get about 15 minutes a day sometimes to write. It makes it harder to have continuity or finish a major story arc.

But I could see that a little planning will keep me on track better. Thanks

Gamal Hennessy Thanks for the comment Michael. I hope some of my other articles helped.

I know what it's like to get a limited amount of time to write each day. I don't know what program you use, but if you haven't considered Evernote, I highly recommend it. You can use it to start something on your phone, continue it on the web anywhere and then keep writing on your home computer or tablet. I wrote 75% of my last novel that way.

Have fun.

Michael Jones (tubalschrift) | 11 comments Good idea, I think I'll try it. Yeah, I've also tried audio recording ideas and then putting them into text in the morning. That way I can do the thinking all day.

Gamal Hennessy I thought about doing that, then I realized I didn't want people to see me talking to myself. I already have a reputation for insanity. No need to fuel that particular fire. ;-)
