The first book didn't really caught my attention. It's a good start anyway.

Vampire Academy is one of my favorite series - though I have only read the first three books.
I really like it, and I think it's got something to do with the different twist on the vampire myth.

I personally am not a fan of the explosion of YA Vampre fiction that's appeared since Twilight became popular. It all seems the same to me, unoriginal and unexciting. I read this book a long time ago but remember nothing about it except that I didn't like it very much.

Okay, so I finished the series! I liked it, I won't say I love it but it at least made me interested in the series. A good start to a (hopefully) good series. I liked the story, the concept of it, I like this vampire world more than Twilight's vampire world (though no one can beat Edward!:P).....some parts seemed a little kiddish, and I'm not that fascinated with the lead heroine however the guys of the book are great! Already smitten with Dimitri Belikov and Christian Ozera:P:P

I loved it!!! This series captivated me the entire way through and I've read it multiple times, I'd say definitely read it before the movie comes out because the movie may ruin it for you... I can no longer read twilight because of Kristen Stewarts bad acting...
