BookLover6767 I really enjoyed reading this, up to the end. To me the book was a nice relaxing journey though part of the narrator's life, until the author had to think up an ending, and rushed the whole thing. I also didn't really like the little dash of sci-fi the author threw in with the ice nine. To me it felt kind of forced. What did everyone else think?

Rafael (r_dominic) Maybe it's just me, but I found this book so damn confusing. It just became this gray mush. I read it a week ago, had to come back and re-read parts of it.

My perverted teenage mind kept on thinking "Wow! This is taking a foot fetish, to a whole new level"
MMMM.... Come closer. I want to feel your feet with my feet...

Kristen Sorrell | 20 comments amber, I agree. I felt like I waited a long time for the climax of the book and almost missed it. I feel like there was so much build-up for the destruction of the world by ice nine with very little explanation. The book didn't feel like a sci fi , and I think that the ice nine was more of an afterthought.

I did like the characters, but had a hard time keeping them straight at first. I really didn't get into the religious tone, although I understand the role it played. Rafael, I agree with the creep factor of the soul mingling by foot. Did anyone else get distracted by all of the breaks in the story? It made it a little too easy for me to look up and be distracted by something else.
